  1. oh i didn't say you were. Alot of people just dont know how to drive
  2. Factory fill on my 06 is DEXRON-VI, Thoughts????? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> then thats what i would use in it
  3. good kill. I know if you didn't see any black smoke the truck probably was stock. My new work truck is a 06 powerstoke with a superchips programer and it really hauls. I know as soon as the turbo spools its rolling good. but if its not in to boot its a little slow. If i spool up the turbo from a stop and go its scary how quick that truck moves off the line. the top end on diesels are amazing. a week and half ago i was driving from texas to nashville and i was on 40. i came across a tbss and we ran together for about a 100 miles then i wanted to see if he would run a high speed pull, from about 80-100+. sure enough we did and i am affraid to say i outpulled him.
  4. I was under the impression that the tranny would shift softer running synthetic fluid? Mr. P. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> well it depends on which synthetics you use. I have talked to a few tranny builders and they all told me that on higher hp engines the synthetic will make the clutches more slippery which will lead to tranny slip and possiable clutch failure. On stock motors i would think it would be fine. The tranny builder i last used told me to only run dextron III because it allows the clutches to slip and grip at the right amount. He also said to keep the fluid changed regularly and it will be fine.
  5. glad to see your coming home. just in time for nice weather
  6. I would say to be on the safe side that would be a good number. if you wanted to push it you can lean it out some more. I am sure one run wouldn't hurt being in the 12s:1
  7. ah makes much more sense now lol. for you to pass Pa emissions do you have to have the rear o2s working??
  8. I would highly consider going to vette servo's. and stay away from synthetic fluids. I would say the main reason you are breaking things is because its shifting way too hard. I know mine shifts no where near as hard as it used to and i dont think i lost any 1/4" mile times making it shift softer either.
  9. did you figure out which code that was??
  10. Thunder has always been great to me. I had the same problem when ordering my pads. They waited a few days before they could tell me they were on back order because hawk was late in their shipment. I would say the only reason they contacted me was because i paid for next day shipping. Thunder is a great place to get things but I think they have grown so fast that they havn't expanded their work force.
  11. nice looking truck, I wouldn't go to the trouble of powdercoating the stock wheels. I would look into getting a aftermarket set
  12. uh Do you not get out much??? or get out during the day. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> What is that supposed to mean? What's wrong with liking to be out on the water?? I am a Sailor. Aren't you due to go to Alaska again soon?? You were a lot quiter there. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> well you do live around the water just making sure you realize that. OH i will be coming thru this coming saturday and next saturday
  13. uh Do you not get out much??? or get out during the day.
  14. Well i Found out what the problem was. the factory flare that goes into the tranny weakned and cracked.
  15. Nice pad cody. I know you all will be happy to get in there and get out of the temp housing.
  16. sad thing i did nothing. I plan on just cutting out the bad part and putting in some rubber hose in its place. its a temp fix untill i can actually get some where and put it on a lift and fix it right.
  17. has any one switched to a flexable tranny line?? one of my hard lines that go into the tranny busted and i am tired of trying to fight with the hard lines.
  18. it depends which tranny you go with, the flt level 5 will hold 1000hp and thats been proven with parish.
  19. That is awsome. I wonder if he will keep the paint scheme. I think it would be awsome.
  20. I am runing 42lb injectors with a 255lph intake fuel pump and i have plenty of fuel making it to the motor.
