  1. well first off ditch the awd. a flt level 5 80e will hold 1000 +hp, you will need a beefy rear axle, and large ci. i would say more than a 402. big turbo or twin turbos. go back and talk to JPA. Brian can help you out some.
  2. if its a wet shot most kits are rated to the wheels, so that could be right
  3. have you talked to chuck or vince yet? chuck loves to see broken trannys come back to the shop.lol just helps him build a stronger one.
  4. you might have to upgrade the axle no matter what. i dont think its made for that much hp and tq. It would be a sweet ride for sure

  11. yes they will work fine. when i was up there last year in fairbanks i was told to stay away from white letter tires and just stick with a black wall because the white rubber will crack and could cause a blow out.
  12. I think i paid around 500 total for the pads, rotors, lines and better fluid.
  13. I guess you finally decided to go bigger <{POST_SNAPBACK}> oh i decided to go larger as soon as i drove it but it just took me a little while to swap it.
  14. here are some vids of the truck with this cam in it. rev from idle 800 rpm idle
  15. I up graded to ssbc slotted rotors, ssbc pads, and stainless steel break lines. i would check the rear rotors because mine was in very bad shape and only had 34k miles on it.
  16. i would be looking into making that machine shop pay for repairs. you have all the reciepts with what they say went into the motor??
  17. This is a comp custom grind cam that i used for about 1000 miles in my 408. the specs are 230/236 591/601 114+4lsa $250 plus shipping
  18. Matt's 408 was the same way. It only made noise when it was in the 50's out and only for about the first minute or so. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> it dont even do that now. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It is an impressively quiet engine for being all forged. How's it running lately? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> good question, i am about to go out and start it for the 2nd time in 5 months.
