  1. Got 17.6 mpg last weekend on a long trip that was like95% interstate driving (2 1/2 tanks of gas), that's the best I've done with mine. Average since 2003 is like 14.5 mpg.

Currently playing a mid 70's Hagstrom Swede thru a Fender tube amps(early to mid 70's). Yeah I bought them new. Sold the keyboards some years back.

  6. I have had them on the SS for about 6 mos. (12000 miles or so). I like them so far. Side walls much stiffer than the stock Goodyears. Wearing pretty well too.
  7. I have limited experience with it. Higher initial installation cost than traditional - but- lower operating cost. Ground or ground water(well, lake etc) coupled is more efficient than an air unit. A friend is installing a system using an undergroung systern (spelling ?) as a heat sink. Its fed a constant supply of water from a spring. He's built the components from scratch except bought the heat pump. His calculations show he'll have enough capacity to do 100% of his cooling in the summer and 70 - 80% of his heat in the winter. We live in Western PA. He's using convertional forced air natural gas fired furnace for the extra heat when needed. Figure he'll ave about $7000 in the system (no cost for his labor) but he's a pack rat and didnt have to buy all the materials. If it isnt cooling by this summer, I think his wife will be banishing him to the garage. just my 2 cents
