Ok, I have an 03 1500 Hd that has the 6.0 LQ4. I have the basic mods done, cold air intake and a 93 tune from Wheatley. I just installed some 05 e-fans and i really feel a good difference in throttle response and all out performance. The best part is I have gained a few mpg all around. I do a lot of driving and would like to gain as much mpg as i can. I want to do an custom exhaust and don't want a very loud system but more like a nice mellow smooth sound? I was thinking to do an x-pipe with dual mufflers and dual exit out the passenger side? Need imput please.

Looking for your thoughts for a mild cam for my 03 1500 HD. Looking for some more performance. I have a 93 Wheatley tune, K&N intake, and 05 efans. The truck really moves good for a 6000lb+truck. Want something that will give me good all around power and have a flat curve across the rpms but i don't want it to have a choppy lope. Looking for a stealthy approach. Then also thinking i'll have to change the springs which i would think the comp 918's would cover a mild cam. Help me out guys? Thank you!

Just making sure this ground is good for my e-fan wire harness. I have a washer on both sides of my connector because that bracket is painted.

I got a new one from Napa A few years ago and i think i paided $160ish? I have a 2003 1500 hd and it came with 2 batteries and had a 105 amp. So when my batteries took a crap i put in a new 145 amp with the new set of batteries. So i hope im covered amp wise?

I have heard nothing but positive feedback from the Black Bear e-fan harness! Thats why i ordered one up! For sure let us know what amp alternator is in his truck?

Oh no? I just ordered that harness for my 05 e-fans! Please tell me this isn't common? I have a 145 amp alternator already.

Hey guys, just wondering? I have a set of LS1 heads(241) off my 04 GTO that only have about 6000 miles on them. Is there any positive benefit putting these heads on a LQ4? or what if i head work done to them? Just thinking, i have a set of heads here so maybe i can get them worked and not have any down time? Looking for your thoughts? Thanks!

Just looking for some feedback on the Black Bear e-fan harness? Im looking at getting the 05 oem style dual pin harness. Seems to be the one out there other than trying to find the factory one and spending twice the money. Looking to order one soon but just want to see what everyones imput is first. Does it funtion just like the oem set up from the factory? I have one now with a single pin and the ac trigger and i hate it! Its very loud on the high speed and the voltage drop is nuts! I have the 145 amp too, it came factory in my trucks. Thanks for the feedback!

Just wondering if i could remove my clutch fan while i wait for my e-fan harness? I live around Chicago and it in the 20's. I don't think i would over heat but dont want to chance it either. Any thoughts or past issues?

I love the sound of Flowmasters, Love that hollow fart sound! I have super 44's on my 04 GTO with 1 3/4 long tubes, x-pipe, with 2 1/2" pipe. Sounds mean as hell and couldn't be happier. I have Corsa Sport on my wifes 04 Denali and it good for that because it doesn't have the drone on the highway. I don't like the raspy sound of the straight muffler compared to a chambered and i really don't think you loose any noitcable hp? Maybe a few but you would never feel the difference? Just my imput, i think you should choose the sound you like and go from there. Everybody have a different tasteand thank God for all those different choices! I'm trying to figure out what to do with my 03 1500 hd that has the 6.0 but i dont want it to be to loud? i'm stuck?

I have an 03 1500HD with the LQ4 that i have a new set of 05 e-fans waiting to go on. I also have an 04 yukon denali i put 05 e-fans on and the harness i have sucks ass. Looking for two harnesses for both my trucks.

Factory harness, or same design as oem? I just want the fans to work just like oem. How much is the harness?

Does anyone know where the cheapest place is to buy a GM e-fan harness? I think i want to stick with a factory harness because of reliability and looks to go with the gm fans. Thank you

Thank you for your imput! I like what you discribed and how you disrcibed it! I dont like the raspy sound. Corsa is good for no drone and i done want drone either. I like the thought of the x-pipe design tto, its like you are getting the best of both worlds. Plus i cant just go get a Corsa muffler! Thank you!

Are the Flowmasters really that bad? I love the "Chambered" sound vs the straight through sound? Help

Are you saying your louder now with the "X" Flow or your old 50 series is louder than the dual super 40'? I dont want to be too loud, I'm a contractor so i dont want to piss off new clients. I have Corsa Sport on my wifes 04 Denali with stock manifolds and cats and its just perfect! Can you compare to that sound?

Just wondering if you guys had any advice or thoughts on how much sound the x-pipe takes away the drone? I was thinking of doing true duals on my 1500 hd that has the LQ4 in it. I will have stock manifols and cats but want to do an x-pipe then two flowmasters. I have a 04 gto with longtubes, x-pipe, and super 40's and love that sound with the big cam! Will the truck be more tame with the stock manifolds and cats is my question? Do you think it would be loud? Also what is everyone running on trucks if they run flowmasters? I've heard many sound clips but hard to tell on video. I like to hear things in person if i can. Thanks for any thoughts that come my way.

I also noticed today that it seems to get louder when i throttle up? Not to much louder but for sure it gets louder in sound? What does a bad ground sound like?

Also, it still makes the sound with the radio off.

So hard to discribe? Kinda a low pitch grouning sound? It does not change with the rpm.
