again, thanks a lot man. everything helps. The truck does already have a GMPP CAI and 2 into 1 Magnaflow exhaust that the previous owner pu on with a single 3" turn down before the axle. Guess ill check into transmissin improvements too!

Thanks a lot guys. its a good start to gain the knowledge. after 2 months of a car i bodyworked sitting in my driveway waiting to be paid off, he brought the cash today, so it looks like the headers and tune are coming very soon. I've been looking at Pacesetter stainless Long tubes, http://www.jegs.com/i/Pace+Setter/766/72C2265/10002/-1 and have noticed a majority or people have gone with Wheatley tunes. So thats my plan, any additional comments there? I've been considering a mostly mild cam too, any suggestions with good luck you've had? i'll check thru the rest of the forum too. thanks again guys.

BSER out of wichita? you said "after what happened to his truck" I know the guy that owns Line-X here in wichita had a bad ass 2 tone SS, but heard it had got stolen awhile back. and that he made em. just curious, trying to put 2 and 2 together...

A friend of mine and I run some paint and body work out of my garage. and have smoked a couple sets for people. not so sure it would be cost effective for you to have to ship em here though. been awhile since we've done any but i'd say $50 for all 3 lights...oh, ur new setup pictured above looks good btw. thats the cool thing about black trucks, i think stock red looks pretty good with mine. smoked just wouldnt fit...

ok, im new to the whole truck thing, i kow all the LT and LS car motors (bought the truck for an everyday and had something bad ass to trailer my car. haha) so the LQ4 and LQ9 are both 6.0 motors? different compression ratios or? im a sponge and would love to soak up any knowledge someone would like to give out. and LS parts are interchangable with the LQ parts or heads close to the same? Thanks in advance!

I kinda like the red SS on the far right of the dash.. but the factory one is in the center so it kinda does too much there... at least none of the interior is painted, guy before me painted the plastic sides of the seats and the overhead console red... it has grown on my a lil but im not a big fan. He also did some painting under the hood which i like a lot. if you look close, on top of the engine cover, it says Super Sport. a nice touch i thought...

Hey everybody, ive been around the site before but never been a member. Just recently bought an 03 Red SS. LOVE IT! its pretty much stock now with a few things in the back of my mind that should be done. It's lowered 2-2 and has Helo 22's. i love how they look but they're SOO heavy... Got a GMPP intake and magnaflow exhaust dumped before the axle now. I'm checking into some headers, tune, and maybe a mild cam. it is my DD and dont wanna run her too ragged, got a fun car for that. anyway. Hope everyone is having a good weekend!
