Gotta paint it, but expect it to chip easily. I found out the hard way when I painted my new truck that paint doesn't like to stick to chrome.
I would actually recommend spray painting it with Krylon fusion that way when it chips, which it will, it will be easy to fix.
This isnt chrome -__- and looks like the right steps werent taken on your chrome painting, its hard to do it right but looks killer!
