  1. Something Doesn't Seem right. I tow my 4500 lb boat also. We have some steep hills in alaska and I can maintain 65-70 up them With no drama whatsoever. I never drop past 3rd Unless for some reason i wanted to race up the hill. On the flats... overdrive has plenty of grunt. It actually impresses me how well it does in overdrive to be honest... small hills it doesn't even need to downshift.

The only thing I can think of is maybe The heat with you being in florida? 100 + degrees surely wont help The Performance

  2. I would guess around 9-10k with 2 cars and a trailer, yes.

You will be 2500 lb's possibly over the trucks Rated Tow Capacity. WIll it do it. Yes. Is it safe? Im not so sure. Again, getting the load moving isn't the problem, its stopping it and How well the truck handles the Load, so that it doesn't get overcome by the trailer.

If I had a great distance to go, I Don't think I personally would do it.... Also if anything happened and you were over the Maximum combined gross weight Limit of the truck, that could come to bite you in the ass also with Insurance and whatnot if something happened as far as an accident and they checked into it.

  3. I run a 14'' DI/DO magnaflow. Sounds good, I have it coming out in front of rear tire.... Yes it drones too if you go this route.... Tolerable yes, but just a heads up. Guys say magaflow doesn't drone... perhaps this is true... just not in front of rear tire.

I didn't notice any power increase from changing out from stock muffler to the magnaflow, but it depends who you talk to. Some people gain power every time they add a sticker to their back window

Ive heard that flo masters do restrict exhaust, so perhaps you would gain a tad bit of power with the magnaflow

  4. This arrangement of letters brought to you by, Word a day calendar! :jester:

Your DA is brutal OP. hopefully there's a track close to you that is significantly lower when you want to run 1/4 mile.

    Lol

  5. 102 degrees and 4500 ft..... yeah your times sound right for a stock ss and conditions you were in. Hot temps and elevation will only exacerbate the weak spots in our power band. .. hence your sluggish performance 0-15... these trucks like 3k and above before the power comes on

  6. Was it hot and humid when you did these runs? Whats your elevation? That will surely effect times a lot.

When I got my truck 3 winters ago, with cool temps around 30 degrees and sealevel I was around 6.8-6.9 stock 0-60

  7. That's the exact drop ive wanted to do also. How is the ride? I know everyone rants about spindles for the front, where if I was going 2'' front drop then sure, but I only want 1'' front drop, so keys are the only option I believe. But read that it doesn't handle as good with turn down keys or whatever, which Is why ive been hesitant. I thought I read, spongy front end feel? I dunno, maybe what I read was just a rumor ( impossible! )... which I hope is the case, because I want 1/2 drop without losing handling

  8. Awesome build. After reading all these build threads, I would be go going crazy when 100 different things, from a 100 different places have to come together, and hopefully work well/correctly together.... I admire your guys patience.

Truck is going to be a monster, I hope it comes out running like it should for ya... Hopefully some videos of it when your done!
