  1. hello, I am just finshing up my 408 stroker for my 2003 Silverado SS turbo and I am just wondering if anyone makes an aftermarket oil pan that fits the AWD trucks? Also does anyone make a good water pump; electric or not that fits the truck brackets. I have electric fans as well. Just thought that these might be some nice finishing touches. If there is any other advise it would be great too. Thanks

  2. Lol! Every car I own I got 5% all around but not the windshield.

When I take the SS in imma do 5% n 20 on the windshield. But have been tested several times for 5 %.

that is exactly what I got done except on the back 3 windows is 5% over the factory. My truck has only been stopped once and he just told me to get out of his town or he will tow it. Haha, but still no tickets! But my daily driver only has 20% on the front side windows and i have gotten 4 tickets for it

  3. There are trucks that make over 800 rwhp that still can't out flow even a 90mm TB your truck on 10-14lbs should be mid to high 600 maybe touching 700 hp but unlikely, a 102mm is just a waste of time and money. Especially if your forced induction. Air is Air. and you don't have enough displacement to need a 102 unless you just want the wow factor. Personally I would have the 317's worked on a little like minor porting and blending the bowls stainless valves, springs, ect.. I would spend money on rod bolts, head studs, LS7 head gaskets and all the stuff to run 14+ lbs without any worries, maybe an intake and no bigger then a 90-92mm TB.

I was actaully going to do all that other stuff too. my brother in law is looking into LS9 head gaskets and L92 heads for me since he works at GM and gets stuff for cheaper. I was just going to do intake and the better flowing heads, So when this engine goes I will do a 408 and be able to use the heads and intake. If I did go with the 102mm could it cause power loss?

  4. Ithe way I see it is a win is a win. You guys are starting to sound like three typical I missed a gear, I wasn't ready, my truck isn't running right. He has videos that he beat it, good enough in my book. Sent from my DROID4 using Tapatalk 2

Haha, Actaully quite the opposite... I am the guy who really does not care, win or lose. If my truck looks good, and runs good and make me smile, I could not care what time I post or what anybody else says. I am not out there to impress anybody! Everbody who knows me makes fun of me for this, because I spend tons of money making everything I have faster and then don't use it. I just do it cause I want to and thats good enough for me!

  5. i hear ya I'm living the dream every time I turn the key brother

Same here, I try to explain this concept to my asian buddy all the time, who keeps wanting me to go the strip and race his rat nest Turbo CRX. and I'm like "no point I already won." and then I have to explain that even if he crosses the line before me everybody there is going to be like "Wow did the SS ever spank him... That was not even close"

running 12 second in an import is like coming out of the closet... You may surprise alot of people, but your still gay!

Wining in an import is like the Special Olympics... Even if you Win your still Retarded

  6. So I have been working a lot and have decided to buy myself some heads and possibly an intake if needed, just wondering if anyone knows what would be the best route to go. A buddy of mine who works for GM was saying the new 6.2L heads are awesome; would that be a good option or is there better or should I just have my stock heads modified?

So as for a setup this is what I have so far. For now I am going to run a stock bottom end and that’s pretty much all I am leaving. I have Comp Cams putting a complete kit together (cam, rockers, rods....ect), but told them to hold off till I figure out what I am doing for heads. The engine will also be running a Lonnies fuel system, with Seimens Deka 80's for injectors as Zippy recommended. I also have headers going to a rear mount STS turbo, which I plan on running 12-14 PSI at max (got question on this as well later), and have it converted to Electric fans. For Trans I am running a built 4l80e with a 3200-3400 Circle D converter. Oh and my truck is a 2003 SS.

So just wondering what heads would be best for this setup and what else would be needed for (if I need a different intake or so on)?

Now for the boost I was going to run multiple tunes through an Electronic Boost Controller So I could run different levels of boost for what I was Doing (like 6, 10, and 14PSI) Just wondering if anyone else is doing this and what they used? Once I got my truck together I am planning to bring it down to Calgary, Alberta to get all the tuning done at Davenport, because of the only place in Edmonton that I know of is Morretto's (use to Cambells) and I was not happy with any of the work they did on my cousins 92 Camaro and they charged way to much for what they did. But if anyone knows anywhere good to get custom tuning let me know.

Any advice and info would be greatly appreciated.

  7. It coming very slow, mainly because I work way to much. I have the old transmission out and I have started to clean up the frame and then paint it back up. Also got a bunch of stuff ordered and waiting for it to come in. Hopefully this up coming long weekend, I don't work and ccan get a bunch of stuff done

  8. Yeah, this is my first performance build using force injection . I have done many old cars, but this is the first for new age muscle... Well other then a ls1, t56 swap on my cousins. 3rd gen, but only thing I did to the engine was cam and rockers... Just trying to get as much info as I can so I don't waste any money!
