  1. Where are your torsion bar keys set at? Is it both sides or just one side?
  2. Just curious if anyone was planing on goin to car craft this year. July 22-24 at Minnesota State Fairgrounds. I was planning on going but will be unable to bring the SS. I heard there was a couple of SSS there last year but didnot see them. I'd like to meet up with anyone who might be going. Hope to see some of you guys there.
  3. IDK I kind of like it! But then I am from the purple state LOL!! custom plates should read - PRPLRN -
  4. Ha never mind I just used the search function and got my answer! Truck is still sick!
  5. Wretched - Where did u find your black billet grille inserts or are they painted? Your truck is sick, stay safe and good luck
  6. Thats what I was thinking. But I've had a couple of "friends" say I should paint them black.
  7. This is my first topic on the sight! So my problem is I have a black '05 ss and i'm having the grille inserts painted black, the whole truck is black the only things that are not black are the rims(Chrome) and the SS badges. I'm loving the murdered out look but feel leaving the ducts OE make them stand out and be noticed(in a good way) I think if they're painted they just blend in with the bumper. IDK? Thanks in advance for the replies. If any of you could post pics also that would be great.
  8. there mounted on the front hubs. pull your brakes off in the front, and remove your rotors. You will see the speed sensor mounted in the hub. remove the allen screw and the plastic wire retainer that attaches to the control arm (that makes it easier to move the sensor around). Be carefull when removing the sensor to pull straight up and twist it back and forth, do not rock it side to side it will break. If it does break you'll need a new one they cant be repaired. If it does break make sure you remove all of the pieces from the hole. After you remove the sensor use a small file to file away the rust on the mounting surface. Once thats cleaned up spray some anti corroin paint on the surface let it dry for a couple of minutes, lube your sensor with some grease and reassemble. That should fix it. Good Luck.
  9. It's corrosion on the frt wheel speed sensors that causes the abs to come on. GM actually has a recall for certain model year silverados for "over active" ABS concerns. The frt speedsensors need to be removed and the mounting surface cleaned free of rust.. I've done quite a few of these for that problem. Recall # is 09094 - it is for 1999-2002 fullsize trucks. But i've seen this problem on all of them upto 2007 classics.
  10. Can anyone tell me or maybe 2bfast can. what kind of tonoue bed cover is on 2BFast's SS? I love the spoiler lip it has on it. The whole truck is just sick. I think some of us have found a new blueprint for future mods on our trucks. Well done sir!
  11. So I think someone need to put a duramax in a ss or ss trim on a k2500. That way you can have a ss that will smoke (literally) anything out there!
  12. I was thinkin the same thing better lookin car and it has a back seat. also its a 4-door so your insurance will be better then the gto
  13. How much is the Shopman? If the body shop losst the correct one and can't find the correct replacement, i would suggest they get the shopman bowtie and have them eat the diiference in cost. That way your happy and they can get you out of their hair
  14. Welcome! I'm up in stillwater, mn. Congrats on the new purchase
  15. $90 empty 2 full, a few weeks ago. My wife almost passed out after I told her how much the total was. Funny thing - my total was $82 this week too LOL!
  16. it's called a interior air temprature sensor. GM refers to it as a aspirator. your best bet is to just replace it i think their only about $60.
  17. Very nice. the cover appears to sit higher on the tailgate. Is that just the camera angle or is it shimmed to clear the spoiler? I really want to get one of these but as L&E Customs I use my truck and it seems like the spoiler would prohibit the cover from locking closed. Thanks.
  18. Of course now that i said that i'm getting it constantly!!
  19. ya, I got it once this morning, but has been fine since
  20. the truck in that pic has a roll top tounue cover does any one know if the spoiler will work w/out modifications to the cover or spoiler?
  21. ya, it sounds like the bcm to me too. you could try disconnecting the bcm and plugging it back in sometimes that will fix it briefly.
  22. Dude, looks very nice what exhust tips are those?
  23. I've done a few of these updates. The clip is for the pump, to hold it in place in the case. Without the clip the pump moves back and forth eating a hole in the case housing, causing a ll the fluid to leak out. If that happens you'll need a case half at minimum, if all the fluid leaks out the transfer case will run dry and be ruined. Then you will need a new transfer case.
  24. What might you be doing with the old exhaust??
