  1. not unless your makin a shit ton of money and have nothing else to do with it.a nice used d max and allison with decent miladge your payin around 10000 plus you need to change all your harnesses all new fuel system, as well as a couple coolers, all new suspension in the front to handle the weight as well as crossmembers beffin up the frame and you would have to go to 2wd with a new rear end to handle it. so you could probably buy another nice ss for the same money it would cost you to put a dmax in. it would be cool ya but highly unpractical
  2. s you can do this its not to hard you just really need to make sure you get your worm gear preload is right and you pitmant shaft over center adjustment is right or youll have alot of play in the steering wheel besides that there not to difficult
  3. the harness should be the same but besides installing new door panels, power window regulators, drivers and passenger door modules. your going to have to either change the bcm or reprogram it, as well as re pin the ip fuse block so as much stuff as you could get from a doner vehle the better, if you buying from the factory id say your wasting your time because its gonna be pricy
  4. hs i one of 4 thing its either your cruise control switch, throttle actuated control module, pcm, or a circuit fault. were you go depends on a couple thing if you hit the cruise button and the light on the dash comes on your most liklly not going to have a switch problem if nothing happens then it could still be any of the 3. i would also say that the concern probably doesnt have anything tp do with your beat run seeeing how all the circuits are in the body and upper fender. also check your cruise fuse to see if it is blown and chesck to see if your 3rd brake light is working i know it sounds weird but ive seen cases were a blown 3rd brake light will cause the cruise to not work.
  5. theres a clip on the inside of the rod that it swivels on - its the same thig as the little clips on a manual window crank take that clip out and it should pop right off. you may or may not have to take the seat cover off a little
  6. sounds like you have either a sized actuator or one of the rods fell off ive seen 9 out or 10 times fauty lock actuators. what ou can do is jum the power and ground circuits of the lock actuator with a test light- then command the lock on and off and if the light illuminates you know the actuators faulty
  7. if your starter solenoid isnt clicking and your circuits are good to the starter your most likely lookin at either a park nuetral position switch, an ignition switch, or a relay/fuse
  8. the first thing you need to do is see if your starter solenoid is clicking if it does not click it could be a problem with the ignition switch, pcm, relay, park nuetral position switch, circuit issue or the starter itself if it does click then your looking at a starter or something on the serpintine belt seized causing the engine ont to turn- or a siezed engine but i doubt that also a good thing to always do is see if you have any codes and check for blown fuses heres a starting schematic as wee if you need it good luck
