Cool just let us know.

I had 2 good friends show up last night to help in 35 degree weather to help pull the last few bolts. Well it took 3 of us 1.5 hours and a broken bell housing tab to get her out. I sold the old warn out 4L65, flywheel & converter for $125 which has a the broken tab, has 128,XXX miles on it and needs a good rebuild. So all in all I think it was successful. I will just put that money back into the 4L80 swap.
-
it's not the alarm, your trans is going out. First it's 1/2 then it will be 3/4 then you will have now reverse. The bands and clutch disc's are going out. I would pull the pan check to see how much metal staving are on the magnate and if the fluid is burnt.
-
Yes I agree
-
I have been finding these 4L80's all over down here in the south with low miles for $500, $600 & $700 all day long.
-
Hell Yeah.
I am getting the 6 bolt flywheel, 4L80 & the slip yoke for around $600-$700, the cross-member for $140, segment swap for $50-$100, wiring harness $200, TransGo HD2 shift kit $225, and the Triple Disk converter $1200. So it's more like $2400.
-
Ok so I'm 100% switching to a 4L80E. I will have a total of $2200 in it with EVERYTHING.

Its the 2/4 band. Mine has been doing the same thing for 3 months and I just lost 4th this past weekend. I pulled it out and apart the 2/4 is shot, and the clutches are burnt along with the fluid. I'm doing my own trans build with $1800 worth of PATC parts.
-
I'm staying 65 but I'm putting $1800 in parts alone from PATC in my trans that I'm building myself.
-
Im going to be building my own trans with a PATC kit.

I have custom bent dual 3 inch with a x-pipe and 2 older flowbastereds with turn downs on them. I made 318RWHP which is up from a 312RWHP. The only thing I did was redo my exhaust.
-
I would buy them in a heartbeat if you would ship them, I'm on the east coast in NC.
-
Both are nice products, just pick a good name brand one and you should be good.
-
^ 100% correct, I completely agree.

Rockford is not southern Illinois and the last time I looked who listens to ILLINOIS state law? Same state that brought no firearms to Chicago and look how well that one turned out, lol?!!!
-
Zack my apologies I looked at the wrong name it was SSAWD, not you. Sorry about that I was thinking about the flat tappet cam, like WTF. I got the wrong name, it happens that way sorry again.

Zach a tune will give your truck a more efficient HP and TQ curve. With out it your throwing parts at the wall hoping it will make more power. You would need to have a base tune then a retune for every upgrade to maximize your performance, and that my friend is a proven FACT. You can upgrade several things at once when you get the parts piled up after you install them a tune is a must.
