I'll give fair disclosure, I know nothing about rifles. I'm a handgun guy. With that being said, I've read several threads on several firearm forums bragging about how awesome of a deal these AR-15s are.

My understanding is this is the same gun without the optics.

They were $999 and $599, but they still look to be a pretty good value.

Are any of you jokers hanging in the for sale section actually shopping for a truck?
I just come to laugh at people asking 150% of KBB value for their truck.

EDIT*
And with the body damage, "Very Good" condition is being very generous.

Holy Crap! A 2005!!!! I almost settled for a 2004 or a 2006 because I didn't think I could find a 2005!!!! I don't care how much it is, or how many miles, or even what color. I have to have this 2005 Silverado SS!!!!
EDIT*
It also doesn't matter where this magnificent piece of machinery is located. I'll travel to the corners of the earth for a coveted 2005 model!

Well that's rather rude.
I was a member here when I first bought the truck, back in 04, and had considerably more that 250 posts...
Unfortunately, I've no idea what my user id or password was, and the email address I used, [email protected], no longer exists.
Here is your original post.

This also happened to me...in the winter when i backed into a snow bank the input for trailer lights got full of snow and got wet...once i dried it out cruise worked again.
Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
I just had a very similar problem. The wiring harness got disconnected from the hitch plug. It got soaked in a snowstorm. I dried it out today and reconnected it and the cruise is working like a charm.

Hi,
You'll love them! I have the same exhaust system. Easy to install and sounds great!! Start ups rumble, idle is deep, cruising is mellow (no cabin droan) and lastly - WOT sounds awesome!!
The only thing I would change is the exhaust tip. Gets fouled easily. I'm looking for a double wall type to fit in there. I think the single wall tip gets hot and water spray, tar and road film sticks to it. For cleaning, I use kerosene to remove the tar and grime. Then a quick SS polish.... Looks new again, but does not last.
I hope this helped, :-)
Thanks! I had a Corsa on my '04 5.3 and loved it. I imagine it will sound very similar to that truck. If that's the case, I'm going to be very happy.
-
is that a silverado ss pictured? Go to the touring and sport page and you will see a SS pictued not a 5.3 z-71. Call them up and ask is all i can say, i dont want to start an argument.
If you go to the touring and sport page, the picture of the exhaust looks exactly the same (exept for the tip). That era of 5.3 didn't have a Y pipe, just the bolt on flange. The fact that there is a normal Silverado just tells me that they're lazy with the website. I have no doubt that it's the right kit for our trucks. I guess we'll find out soon enough.

I trust the Corsa website overr Autoanything......
edit-not for price, but for correct parts on which the Db series belongs on. You can even call Corsa, they dont recomend the Db on the VHO/LQ9 engine.
Is this not Corsa's website advertising this part for the Silverado SS?

Well, like the title says, I just ordered a Corsa dB system. Pretty much everything I've read on this site is either about the Corsa sport or touring. From my research, this looks like Corsa's entry level system. My understanding is that the pipes and muffler are made out of OEM quality stainless, where the sport and touring kits are made from a higher quality stainless steel.
Here's a link to the system I ordered. They are running 15% off and free shipping today , bringing the total down to $478.13.

I went out and bought something else just because it was a pain in the but to get the car seat in and out. I still have the truck and only take him in it on the weekends or whatever.
I mean the seat fits in the middle but for me its easier to just open the do to the DD and pop him in the base.
But on a side note congrats my son will be 1yr dec. 17th!!! time flies by quick so enjoy it!!!
I actually prefer my SS to a 4 door. You hop out, hit the second programmed seat (set to your short wife, so the seat goes all the way forward), and open the rear door. With a four door you have to walk around the back door.
-
Congrats!
Your SS will haul your kid fine. I had an extended cab Silverado when my son was born, and he fit in it great. If you put him in the middle of the back seat, there is actually more room than in most cars (the seet will go between the front seats a little). Now I haul my 4 year old son and 2 year old daughter in my SS. No problem.

You're friends with Gaston too? He's my right hand man, and tags along with me everywhere I go.
-
I'm not sure what they were trying to accomplish with this paint job.
It can be yours for the low, low price of $24,400.
Fast forward two months and it's down to $14,900. The rare $9500 price drop.
-
Still available.
Would trade for/towards a cat back exhaust (even factory if it's in good shape).
-
It looks great!
You must be single.

Yea, AJ seemed pretty cool. I could hear his blower from a block away. I'm not gonna lie to you, I like me some guns too. In my (our) line of work, I find myself in some pretty shady spots at weird times with large sums of cash. I had a crazy bachelorette party on Saturday night and two goons tried to force their way onto the bus. I was seconds from reaching for my piece.
That's too bad about that guy jerking you around. When I sold cars that was one of my biggest frustrations. It didn't happen often, but when it did it was a huge kick in the nuts.
-
Whoa that sounds like a pile! Can't believe they would re sell it with it like that!
This dealer isn't known for their high quality used cars. They'll sell any turd they can get their hands on.
RICE EATER- I thought you sold your truck. I sold a gun to your friend AJ (Marauder) and he confirmed it. Things fall through?
-
I need to pick up 1 ton of rocks for my moms house and I just realized i don't even know how much I can hold
The payload is rated at 1490 lbs. That include the driver and anythinge else that 's in the truck.
-
Yes, you have Bose. All 2003-2007 Classic Silverados that had bucket seats had bose stereos.

first thing that comes to my mind is someone tagged a real intimidator with a 01 vin. something sound fishy cause that wiuld of been soooo much work. hmmmm....
So in 2004 he bought a 2001 truck (that had not been titled) that is a 2006 clone? Riiiiiight. Where did he get it? I'd like a 2014 Silverado clone.

on most of it, I think the HHR, Monte Carlo, and Malibu should not have been made into an SS version. The TBSS is by far the best SS thats not a camaro. I think the S-10 SS was a pretty good SS, and in fact i'm keeping my eyes open and want to buy one!
Edit: And by all this I mean of the recent SS's, the TRUE SS's we're the Chevelle's and Impala's and Camaro's of the 60's and 70's...
S-10 SS was a good one? It had a color matched grill, SS emblems and a red bowtie. At least the Monte Carlo had a V8 (2005+).
Just for kicks, let's do a breakdown of HP for the SS's that you said shouldn't have been SS models
Monte Carlo 303
Malibu 240
HHR 260
94-95 S10 SS 195
96-98 S10 SS 180
Those S10 SS's were pretty badass alright.

I spotted this gem in front of the O'Reilly's. He must have run out of two sided tape or fake chrome crap to stick to his car. Of course, it was complete with the ricer fart can exhaust.

When I bought my truck, one of the door speakers was blown. I couldn't find a replacement for a reasonable price (no junk yards had them and dealer wanted $85), so I bought aftermarket door speakers. I have one good one, and it can be yours!
$25 shipped
I also have a Rockford Fosgate Punch P450.4 amp for sale. A buddy of mine is a used car manager at a dealership. This came in a Trailblazer that was traded in. He thought it was scaring people away, so he asked me to pull it. It works perfectly, but I don't need it. I'd trade for a subwoofer amp or a good quality 10" or 12" subwoofer or 9mm ammo.
$100 shipped
