  1. I am working on coordinating a group tune by Black Bear Performance for the St Louis area. Justin has said that if we could get this set up, then it would probably be in the January-February time frame. Please let me know if you are interested - email me. More info available at http://www.blackbearperformance.com/
  2. SOLD! Putting my SS up for sale. I am located in St Louis, MO. Low miles, runs great. Just about to hit 41k miles. I have only had it for about 3 months, but my buddy that works at a dealer now can get me an EXCELLENT deal on a brand new truck, and he said I should sell mine outright rather than trade. Best way to get ahold of me is to email me through craigslist or text/call my cell phone number listed in the ad, as i dont check this site as much anymore... $18,900. stlouis.craigslist.org/cto/3834467894.html
  3. Any luck finding an SS? I just picked up an Arrival Blue 04 AWD SS with 38k last night in Illinois, near St Louis. Traded my Victory Red 03 w/ 96k. Its in overall good condition, just a couple minor blemishes and the inside of the bed has some scratches from normal use. Only mod is a Volant CAI, interior is perfect. Keep looking, they are out there. Good luck!
  4. I am with you! Have driven a couple of the new SS's and not a fan of the new camaro in any way... Vette=yes!
  5. I think you need a black and a red one! buy it! lol
  6. Your f150 sounds super nice, but i think my next truck is gonna be something a lot less expensive. Smaller payment would be nice and as I said i want to be able to USE the truck without worrying about it getting a little banged up. PM sent.
  7. yeah, i know exactly what ya mean. i have gone back and forth many times, and still dont know how i would feel if it was gone! i just do too much outdoors stuff (camping, fourwheeling, etc) and need a truck that I am not afraid to get a scratch on... I love this truck too much to see it get beat up.
  8. yeah, those were on there when I got it. have thought about taking them off, just never actually did it...
  9. Asking $24,900. Super low miles and very clean. St. Louis, MO **********SOLD!******** http://stlouis.craig...3111060938.html
  10. Ohh ok, well that makes sense. I have heard you can get pretty good mpg and power improvements with the tuners on a diesel, though I would assume you get one or the other!
  11. Hmmm, i dont know about that. I had a 2009 z71 4wd w/3.73s and 4-speed and only averaged about 15mpg. Then had a 2010 z71 4wd with 3.08s and 6-speed and surprisingly got about the same. My 2011 LTZ was the worst of the 3 newer trucks, with the 6-speed, 3.42s, 20" wheels and got about 14.5 avg. All had the 5.3l and 4x4, ext cab, and i drive a mix of city/hwy. For comparison, I average about 14 in my 2004 SS. Not a considerable difference, in my opinion, for having the 6.0l, 4.10s, 4-speed, AWD, 20" wheels. Other than having to use premium. Dont miss the newer trucks at all other than the sweet LTZ interior! A buddy of mine has a 2009 LTZ Duramax, and gets nowhere near 17mpg in the city. I believe he is averaging just under 15 all-around last i heard. Heavy truck of course, but....
  12. Nice vid! I was just vacationing in PCB last week. Good time down there...
  13. yeah, i go back and forth with wanting to try local, or just go with one of the proven tuners (zippy, bb, wheatley)... as with everything, i am probably overthinking it! i wish i was closer to one of them, so I could just have them tune in person. thanks for the info, btw
  14. Not bad. I dont usually dig Dodge interiors, but that one looks pretty nice on the inside.
  15. I am thinking about giving one of the performance shops in my area a try for a PCM tune. They said they charge $110/hour, and ballpark 2-3 hours. Does that sound fair? Any specific questions I need to ask them before letting them touch my truck? I believe they have a dyno, but I dont think for AWD. Once it is done, how do I know if it is a good (and safe) tune? Truck is basically stock at the moment, and most likely only near future plans are CAI, headers, e-fans... The shop I am looking at is PUR performance in St Louis, MO. I saw them post on facebook today about a Silverado SS Procharger setup they are working on right now. Is it anybody on the forum? Looks like it is Silver Birch 2wd i think, with maybe a 2/2 drop?
  16. Here are a few in that price range. http://www.cars.com/for-sale/used/chevrolet/silverado-1500/_/N-ma9Zfh1Zh0tZm5d?prMx=13000&sf1Dir=DESC&prMn=0&mkId=20053&mdId=22061&rd=100000&zc=63010&PMmt=1-1-0&stkTypId=28881&sf2Dir=ASC&sf1Nm=price&sf2Nm=miles&rpp=50&feedSegId=28705&searchSource=GN_REFINEMENT&crSrtFlds=stkTypId-feedSegId-mkId-mdId-pseudoPrice-trId&pgId=2102&trId=25037

    Bb Vs Zippy

What would be needed for me to have this same capability? A laptop and HP Tuners? Then I could log data of my truck, send to Zippy,, and purchase a tune from him that he could send and I can apply to the truck? BTW, on original topic, everything I have seen on this forum has been mostly positive for Zippy and BB. So my guess is you probably cant go wrong, though I have no personal experience yet with either...
