  1. it says right on the add you can get them in gloss back for cheaper , 1049.00 , come on man read the page idiot.gif hahaah jk , there nice wheels and ive ordered rims from these guys they get shipped out fast and are great quality

God dang seriously... haha totally my bad again... i just scanned the page. Haha i guess thats why i'm called a Newbie!

  2. So i have read most of the forums about the TBSS Rims and am really interested in getting a set of either 22 or 20s. If i can get the 22s i would love it but i have the stock brakes and everything. So basically what i'm askin if anybody knows of a set of 22 or 20 in TBSS Black rims that would fit my SSS.

  3. Blackbox is good, top of the line next to Zymol for store bought products that are priced low. Then its the big dogs like Adams and Zaino that are not store bought products.

And know its not too late, may not get optimum results but just do it panel by panel and make sure you do it with precision. I use to wash my truck in below freezing temps and came out immaculate. My method, panel by panel with 2-3 wash buckets to make sure no junk scraped my paint.

My question is do you have a garage to do it in?

edit-sorry I didnt read that you had the garage, yes you should be fine, but just do it panel by panel, will take a long time but will get you the best results in this weather.

Awesome Thanks man, ill get right on it first thing tomorrow!

  4. Already got mine waxed down. How good is the Turtle Black Box? I usually use Mothers, but have Adams now.

Pretty good I think. I used it on this 97 Silverado all the time and it looked great. You think I could wax the SS in my non-heated garage if its snowing out though?

  5. My wife has the same thing happen in her tahoe a about a week ago. She started it drove a block, stoped and when she started the tahoe again it said reduced power. She drove home, and I started the car, the check engine light was on but it did not say reduced power. I drove it around the block a couple times and no problem. I decided to mess with it the next day. I started her up and the light was off and no problem.

The tahoe is leaking coolant but we are having trouble finding exactly where from, so we have just been filling it up. When she came home with that issue the coolant was a little low but not that low.

Hmm well I don't believe mine is leaking at all but Ill keep a look out for it.

  6. I read on here that there is a safety mechanism programmed in these trucks that will limit the power of the trucks when that are certain things going wrong. Try a search. I know it is on here somewhere. Good luck!

Yeah I read it in the book, it only lets the engine shoot a couple pistons and limits the electrical to keep the temp down. Plus it wont go over 25 mph

  7. So I started up my SS yesterday and noticed that something was up. The engine seemed off and the electronics weren't all working that great. Then the message came up in my message panel saying that my engine was running at half power... So I shut it off real quick and went to see if it was in the book. It said that something was messed up in the coolant surge tank. I then went and poped the hood and there wasn't any steam or stuff that's unusual so I went and tightened the coolant surge tank pressure cap and it was loose but not a whole lot. I went and checked to see if there was any coolant in the actual tank and there was and it was over the line. I ended up just checking everything and couldn't see anything wrong so i went and turned the key and the check engine light went off and everything is fine now but does anyone think I should take it over to my mechanic so he can check just to make sure nothing bad happened?

  8. Alright so I've had the truck for about 2 months now and I have noticed that there is some noises coming from the front end of the truck. It only happens when you are turning and you keep your foot off the gas pedal. I feel like something in maybe the steering column or the front axle must be messed up because it just sounds like something might be loose but I honestly have no idea what it could be. I will probably end up bringning it in to my mechanic to have him check it all out but I was just seeing if anybody else had this problem.

  9. Alright so I just bought my SS last Thursday and am ready to make some mods to it. I'm thinking that putting straight pipe duals just looks dumb and sounds dumb. I had them on my old truck (97 Silverado) but I just think the loud sound would ruin the sleek look of the SS. So I got to thinking and came up with the idea of running 2 cut out devices that go around the stock mufflers. I was also thinking that i would buy a whole other stock exhaust tip and run it to the other side of the truck. So I need help because I just don't know if that is even possible to do and if it would sound and look good at the same time. -Luke

http://www.dmhperfor...com/ecutout.htm ^ Both of the Exhaust Tips ^ The finished product would look just like the exhaust here but on the other side also

^ Above is the link to the company that make the cutouts
