Yeah jasonhensley22. I created a photobucket account because all my pics were in Jpeg form. So thanks. And yes i did look for aftermarket hangers and shackles and there were none. Only the stockers.. Wierd huh. Im sure it cant be due to my tonnaeu cover and bed rug dropping it that much. But its level all right.

My 03 SSS sits completely level stock. Are the SSS suppose to sit level stock? I just measured from ground to fender wheel and its 35 in. Is this right?
-
No before and after pic? just pics of brackets. So is everyones like this? Doesn't seem right!!

I like the chrome better

Anyone know of a quick cheap fix for this issue i noticed? The bumper cover on the drivers side hangs a tad bit low under the headlights. I did get under it today and didnt see anything that was bent that i could notice. I hope i dont have to replace the whole bumper reinforcement behind the bumper cover.

Welcome to the site man, how you liking the truck so far?
Well i loved my little sport truck, But this SS takes the cake. I love everything about it. The inside is just bad ass!!! Just fully loaded. Its my 1st all wheel drive so curious in how its gonna do in the winter. I've only had it 2 days and trying to get a drop kit already..LOL!!

whats your mechanical ability? I would suggest doing it yourself. It's not that difficult and can be done with general tools and knowledge.
also - go rear springs, or you'll regret it. Don't do hangers, shackles, or any of that garbage.
DJ-
Why not do hangers, shackles? I thought hangers, shackles keep your stock ride quality. I would say dont go springs because they never give you the exact amount you want..

Looking for a drop kit. 2/3. I'm wanting spindles and shackle hanger kit!
-
Will these work for my 03 SSS? Is that the right part #. Also its selling pretty cheap i think.
-
Cool thanks.

Yeah thats my truck with the drop installed. 22 replica's is a much better choice IMO
Hey on your shackle install did you have to grind out the rivets on the stock shackle? Also was there any thing to worry about when taking off the stock shackle because of the leaf spring? Like tension in the leaf?
-
Planning on doing 2" drop spindles in front and 3" hanger/shackle kit in rear. Ok are the hangers riveted in? Also is there anything i need to know about the leaf spring when removing the stock shackles? Because the leaf spring should have tension in it right? Dont want it smacking my arm or something?

Welcome! Another new member with an SSS whoop whoop!
Yeah thats a good deal bud! Congrats on the purchase. I have a 2/3 drop on mine and I think it's the best look for the SSS, you'll be happy with it. I went with Belltech spindles and shackles with Belltech street performance shocks, and it rides sssooo much better.
Oh and don't do the 24"s IMO, the stock wheels look awesome. I'm still not sure why so many people put larger wheels on these trucks, it never looks good.
Is your 2/3 drop installed in your sig? If i dont do 24's then i'll do 22in. replicas!

Yeah need pics. Is it flush mount cause i wanna sell mine and get a flush mount

Hello fellow ss owners!
My name is chad and i live in indy. I just purchased a 03 silverado ss with 80,000 miles for $14,700. Do you think thats a good deal? I thought it was. It came with a tonnaue cover and full bed rug. I plan on getting 24's and a 2/3 drop next summer. Along with alot of other little upgrades. I just sold my dakota R/T that i put thousands into. I wanted something new to start cusomizing so i choose the SS silverado(good choice i thought) Well just wanted to introduce myself and ill talk to you all on the forums..
