  1. Sorry for the duplicate. Mod's, please delete.
  2. 1 paint job, 5 sets of goodyears, 80 or so oil changes, 4 sets of front brakes, and a waterpump, its time to say goodbye to my old friend that never stuck me on the side of the road, and never even a flat tire. My 2003 red SS will be traded for a 14 LS with the V 6. Good bye old buddy. Its been real fun.
  3. Oh, and just to let you know, I posted my telephone above. This is not a wire me money cause I am on vacation in tibet scam. In fact, I would prefer to deal face to face, not over the phone or internet. My business is in Deerfield BEach FL, and I reside in Coral Springs, FL. I also have title in hand. There are no lienholders.
  4. It was repainted because the clear coat failed. The mileage is 156000. The only fender bender was a year ago, some "alpha hotel" hit me on the cladding behind the drivers side rear tire. The damage was limited to the cladding and the metal hidden underneath. I bought the truck from Carmax with 800 miles on it in 2005. I was told it was a repo. I am selling because I am tired of getting revved up on by the dodge hemorrhoids. Seriously, I am looking at the F150 econo-boost for the fuel mileage. This is my work vehicle, and mileage is a key factor as my territory grows. I am 57 some odd years old, and have had the money to keep up on this truck. It has not been run the piss out of like many have. I'd post some pictures, but I figured anyone who reads this already knows what a stock SS looks like. The worst feature of the truck is the lower drivers seats is cracking, as well as the arm rests. Aside form that, its a pretty good truck.
  5. Was repainted about 2 years ago. Nothing major in the way of dents or dings. Runs strong, does not smoke, clunk, knocking, leaking, whinning, etc. I have owned it since 800 miles. I am 57 yrs old, and have the means to keep up on repairs. The dealers will not give me much, despite what KBB values it as for trade, $9,000 obo 954 426 965 ZERO. Locates in SE Florida,
  6. Mine did the same on the px side about 4 years ago. Didnt bother me much, but the wife hated it. I had an AC shop fix mine, as well as the blower resister the fan clutch, and a few other issues. Cost about a grand.
  7. 1700lbs over the rear axle with stock suspension and stock goodyears is not an issue.
  8. Thanks for your concern.
  9. DItto to the above suggestion of a 22 cal. Inexpensive, fun, and cheap to shoot. You can always buy the cannon in the future.
  10. Actually, if the elephant was under 1800 pounds, and could be placed 24 inches ahead of the tailgate, I would. FYI, took off the tailgate and placed the load 24 inches forward of the tailgate. Chained the load down and ran the expressway at 70, no problems at all. Moving the weight forward made a HUGE difference.
  11. Live in Coral Springs / Ofice in Deerfield Beach, I'm and up and down I95 through the palm beaches! I will find out tomorrow forsure. Today, I loaded 1500 pounds in the bed, and me and another guy (450lbs combined) sat on the tailgate without bottoming the thing out. Dont know how the bumps will play out, Will be extra carefull on the sawgrass expressway.
  12. Yes, but I assume when you look at the payload spec's it is for weight evenly distributed in the bed. This load is concentrated at the last 2 feet of the bed, behind the axles.
  13. Wondering the max weight I can put in the back of the bed of my 03 SS. I have hauled 1450lbs without too much trouble, now my client wants a delivery of about 1750lbs. I thoiught the 1450 was pushing it, but thought before I broke the bad news, I would throw it out to the forum for opinions. The cargo is a basket of steel bars that will set just in front of the tailgate. It needs to move 15 miles. Maybe somebody has tried something like this.,. TIA. ps, tires are goodear, same as stock size and load rating.
  14. Problem solved. 50$ to the mechanic 1.50$ for the busing + 8 bucks shipping and I dont have to lift the petal over bumps. The part number I posted was the correct one for my 03 ss. As for the old one, the head on one side of the bushing had disintegrated with age. This allowed the petal to move left and right. The bushing ID had worn too, but not that much. I ordered a couple extra bushings if anyone is interested. If you are interested, the box would be 4 x 4 x 6 and it weighs 3 oz.. The bushing is free if you email a first class label. It may cost a buck or two. I have no need for the extras. lakerenegade@ yahoo , com (take out the spaces)
