Stock wheel and tire 275-55/20. Anything outside total wheel diameter will rub at full crank. More tire surface area gives better traction but less MPG since more surface also equals resistance.

Sounds like 285-40's are a good size and if Butch is happy with it, I'd go with it.

I run a 285 on mine and it slightly rubs on full lock turns but i really never do that. Mine is a 3/4 drop as well

What wall size did you go with Butch?

WantaSSS is correct. I too service and install HVAC equipment. Firstly, radiant (Hotwater) heat, in my opinion, is a better heat. It's lasting, warmer heat is less dry and a longer life of equipment. If you have oil burner that heats your potable hot water also. I would isolate the Hotwater heater and install an Electric HW heater. Keep the radiant heat for emergency and install 2 traditional heat pumps with Electronic backup heat.

SEER is an efficiency rating that is really in few words a great selling point. Two things I might add, that you want to ask yourself, Is this my forever home? How much am I willing to spend? ROI (return of investment) is really null. Because by the time it begins to pay itself off, you'll be replacing it.

If this is the home you plan on staying in, spend the money on a Traditional system with multistage compressor/s and frequency drive indoor blower. I believe they start with 15-16 SEER systems.

I'd shop around, try to support your local guy trying to start his business. More than likely you'll pay half of what the other guys charge.

It's very common to sacrifice closets to supply conditioned air to a lower floor. I HIGHLY recommend installing 2 units to zone the upper and lower floors. That way you save your closets and get a more comfortable home. I know it's a bigger nut, but it will fine tune your house's needs.

Of course that is if you have a basement. I hope at least some of this info is helpful.

Well headers are installed!! They sound fréakin awesome. I won't say it wasn't painful. I had a broken header bolt. The awesome one on the driver's side up against the firewall. Oh and it couldn't have just broke the head. The bolt was busted beyond the surface of the head. 2hrs of surgery and we called it quits. There is no tool in our arsenal to extract this F'r.. Heads will have to be pulled. But that is for a later date.

The LT's went in sweet! Good clearence except for one plug wire it would have rested on the header. Drivers side second exhaust pipe.

The reason I will NEVER recommend KooKs is the Mid pipe was waaaay off. They weld them together and the flange at the "Y" didn't line up at all. It needed a 3/4" clockwise turn. So the weld had to be cut. There should be no reason AT ALL that I should be cutting expensive mid pipes to fit.

So anyone thinking on dropping money on headers. Go with ARH.. For the "Deal" I got it wasn't worth the time I needed to modify the mids to get em to fit.

After all is said, they did fit nicely, and sound mean as hell. Crappy weather so I haven't really opened it up..

I'll upload some pics in the near future. Mike thank you, thank you, thank you!! I would have been screwed with out your help.

  4. Got it, 4 sensors. I totally agree on the new sensors with new pipes. I think I'm gonna have my local shop install. I usually do the work myself, but it's bitter cold and I'm too anxious to see these sit around till warmer temps. They also have a lift and mandrel JIC something isn't right.

Mike, I really loved how your ARH's sound and KooKs and ARH are pretty much the same so, I really hope it sounds as bad ass as your beast!

Does anyone talk or heard form Kevin Rambo in a while? Like you said I will definitely need a tune. The guy near me charges 600 for a dyno tune. Which I think is absurd. I told him I'll be doing the top end and I'll be needing at least 2 more tunes and he said 600 every time... F' that...
