  1. thats a awesome pile of "stock" parts

    X2 goood job

Good looking bunch of parts.

Sounds like you got good deals on them too.

Ya i can get lots of parts at good prices around here, there's like 12 wrecking yards within an hours drive from me and i make frequent visits for myself an others so im a familiar face to them haha......and being that there's so many in close proximity they have good prices to compete with eachother......another thing is usually the body's rust out on the vehicles from road salt well before the rest of the parts wear out since im from Ontario, so the parts are all in good condition still.

  2. A few pics of the next pieces of the puzzle to be put put together............lq9 from 2005 all cleaned up waiting for head gaskets and arp bolts, 4L80e gm rebuild with low low km cleaned up waiting to get transgo HD2 shift kit installed and a 4:10 rearend out of 05 denali AWD truck with dual piston calipers waiting for new brakes, 05 E-fans just need wired up....and thats where im at right now

  3. Truck looks great! I wanna drop a 6.0 in my single cab but am worried about it costing tons. Let me know how much you spend and I might consider it, if not I'll just keep looking for a SS :P.

i got lq9 engine for $800 and 4L80e tranny for $500 and wiring harness out of 2000 silverado 2500hd $200... so all i gotta do is put it all together now....just gotta modify tranny crossmember....so total i got about $1500 not including little things like gaskets etc.

  4. looks good, but you should put an SS style front bumper cover on it.

and just IMO, if your going to have SS badges on it you should at least swap an LQ9 into it instead of a 5.3, just my .02 :)

Thanks, ya thats why i sold the 5.3 to get this motor.....i still gotta swap the interior to make it a complete clone but i can live with the 99-02 interior for now............and i do have a complete 06 front end on it now including the ss bumper and it just needs to be painted ( see post 19)

  5. Just wondering if it would be possible to have a set of door sills made that said "Intimidator" on the big piece and "SS" on the small piece or even both together on the big piece and nothing on the small since ive got a RCSB and only need the big ones? Just curious and not sure if anyone has mentioned it yet or not but no harm in asking.....

  6. Any updates Scott? I want to see this thing this summer!

Ya cant wait till the summer.....i'll have my truck finished up by May and hopefully by June i'll be taking it to Toronto Motorsports Park in Cayuga for some shake down runs, ive got a dozen buddy's with similar trucks that go down there all the time mostly on Friday nights.....fastest truck is a 2000 silverado RCSB with a duramax conversion....i think hes running around 12.2's.....my goal is to be faster then him haha

  7. Sad as it is to say, ive been doing reno's on my house the last couple months and the truck as stored and has been put on hold......still needs fenders and bumper painted!!! However ive picked up a low km lq9 and 4l80e that im going to put in instead of the alum 5.3ho i had and also got a new 4:10 rearend and a few other goodies.....just waiting for winter to be over and its back to working on the truck!!!

  8. Thanks guys for the help!....I should've been a bit more specific on the intake I'm using and it's the main reason why I asked this question in the first place,sorry....but my buddy has a TBSS intake he wants me to put on my motor and it has a returnless fuel rail, so other then running a custom made fuel rail setup I don't see how I can get it to work on my truck since its setup for a return line....but after reading these comments I'm thinking I should be able to buy a regulator that I can hook up both the fuel pickup and return line and then just run a single feed to the intake?...do correct me if I'm wrong it's just an idea
