  1. Yea I do believe theres a little drop on there. Think the previous owner did it. I noticed a small spacer for carrier bearing. If it is no mre than an inch or two. I will have to try. Thanks for input. This site always rocks.
  2. Think it would look dumb if I have the 305s on back and 285/50/20s on front. Pretty sure 305s will rub on the front Nother thing where the fuk did wheatley go
  3. Was wondering if 305/50/20s would fit on the rear. Just tryn to get little better traction.

  7. Yeah I was planning on having it all done at once. If you know of a really good Trans guy down there I'll take a trip. I'll be down there march 31 with the camaro to go on a cruise. Maybe we can meet up and have breakfast.
  8. Ft. Worth Texas I've been dealing with speedtek for a couple years now but they are pricey. Don't get me wrong they know what the hell they're doing and always do a good job just a little pricey. They offer HP tune for $400 when I was lookn at wheatly and he only wants $275. The only thing that's better at speedtek is they dyno while they tune. Correct me if I'm wrong.
  9. K I ordered the shift kit and servos today. Maybe next week I'll have enough for Trans cooler and stall. How much should the average shop charge to instal all that for me. I can change parts but Trans are out of my league.
  10. Couple of quick ??? Could any1 verify that it's the 4l60e that comes in them o5 5.3. And should I get the corvette servo kit THE aSSet??? Also I guess I should order the stall while I'm at it. Any suggestions??
  11. You guys are great. I've learned so much already. Bad bowtie my bad I'm new to the whole forem thing. Ss thunder I only have the 2x4 but lookn into awd cause moe better traction and thanks for the heads up on the servos. Will post up pics if I can figure out how.
  12. Supposably the fastest silverado SS. 10.7 in 1/4. Pretty sure that run was supercharged with nitrous. If you get a chance you should check it out. I think it's "world record silverado ss". Could you see my truck gettn tuned??
  13. After more research I found that you can get awd 6.2l in the Denali. That's a plus but the price isn't. How hard would it be to convert mine to awd. Any1 seen a cyclone or typhoon for sale anywhere???
  14. They had a 5.3l on dyno b4 mine that had 1 78mm turbo pushing 512rwhp.
  15. Trans feels pretty good I played with it a lot when I had the diablo. Shift pressure / shift points mph and rpm / faster slower shift/ but no matter what tune or program it still wants to fall on its face when it shifts into 2. Its like the Trans needs another gear in between 1-2. Shifts into 2 great no problem just don't have the go. I'll shift out of 1 at 5900 rpm and when it hits 2 the rpms will drop all the way back down to like 1800-2200. I don't know how to explain it. Maybe it shifts to fast not lettn the engine catch back up I dunno.
  16. So what's the best bang for the $$$ on that o5 5.3l?? I know every1 has the 6.0l and it produces a lot more power but maybe I'll get lucky. I'm on a budget so please let's be realistic. Ive heard of this infamous trailblazer intake will swap out. Any1 else hear anything about that? I know I need the long tube headers but still tryn to figure out how to pass emisions and it could get expensive quick with y-pipe/x-pipe/EXHAUST. If any1 can help me with that. I already got the Cai with matchn tb spacer, custom straight duals dumped b4 axel with 12" cherry bombs/ had 3-4 different tunes (runn hp)/ 160 degree tstat / and I already pay more than $4 a gallon for 93 octane. Should've just forked over the extra $10k and got the SS. I would have awd and so much more potential.
  17. The 1 thing I got going for me is my 05 has only 46k original miles on it. Practically still a new truck.
  18. Yea I tried but they don't offer the Allison Trans or different suspension. They are gettn limited on what you can choose that's for sure.
  19. It be nice to have a 6.2 with 1 of those Allison Trans and a good suspension. Maybe a blower/turbo. 4/11 gears yada yada yada. But no you get to choose the same 1 that the guy right b4 you bought.
  20. That's what I was lookn at. Don't look any different then the Texas edition. Tryn to find website where you can custom order a silverado but coming up empty. Any1 else know why they don't do owner customization.
  21. I lookd up the new custom sport and yes it's just a bunch of trim and chrome. Available 5.3 not the 6.2 and they don't give you much choice after that. I remember we used to be able to choose from different rear ends and all kinds of stuff. That's another thing what happend to ordering your own customized silverado so your truck wouldn't be the same as every1 else's
  22. Interesting I didn't know they put the 6.2 in the new silverados. I better read a little more b4 I make my decision.
  23. I'm still lookn 4 link to silverado ss dept. it ain't gunna hurt to ask. Maybe if they get enough responses they will relize there's a huge market for SSs now that ford/dodge are finally coming out with hp to match Chevy. I mean c'mon the new hemi ram and f150 have all kinds of upgrades to smoke a new silverado. Me personally that gets under my skin.
