Thanks for your responses. After being told by the auto parts store & a dealer that I had to replace the HP line which is a dealer item only, I found out from a local dealer that the schrader valve can be removed & replaced. The mechanic took the valve out for me because it doesn't come apart where you would think it would & was honest enough to say "go to Auto Zone" across the street to get a new schrader valve....they are a lot cheaper & have it in stock. My a/c is now blowing 60 degree air at an idle & 50 degree air riding down the road. That is pulling in outside air, on recirculate cycle....it's colder.

I have a question. I have a 2003 SS Silverado & the tag under my hood is unreadable. I am replacing the accumulator, orifice tube & return line & I need to know how much gas & oil to add. The parts store couldn't tell me. Thanks.

Has anyone had hard starting problems with their SS Silverado? I have a 2003 SS that I bought new & it now has 100k miles on it. The battery, alternator, etc is all good. Has new plugs & gas filter. But recently, I'd say within the last 6 months, when I crank it up, it turns over but won't start until I turn off the key & crank it a second time. At first I thought maybe it wasn't getting enough fuel, but as I said, it has a new fuel filter & you can hear the fuel pump running when you turn the key on. It seems like the ignition is hanging up. Anyone else have this problem? Also from time to time, when I turn it off, the bell keeps ringing as if the key is still in the ignition.

Unrelated question though, this being my first vehicle with leather seats, what do you guys recommend as far as leather cleaners and moisturizers? I'd hate to waste two perfectly good seats because I'm new. lol Does anyone have actual prices they've paid for spray in bedliners? -Leupy The ONLY leather cleaner/conditioner I use in my truck is Lexol NF. It's not greasy & leaves the leather very soft. You can buy it most anywhere but it is cheaper at a farm/feed store.
