  2. shame you aren't closer. I have some OEM Chrome SS wheels I'd trade ya!!
  3. welcome.. I'm in Renton! You think you could downsize that picture of your truck, it is taking up my entire screen!
  4. as long as you stay away from the 2010 you will love it. Not a high revving bike but gobs of torque so you don't need to hit 16,000 rpms.. I have ridden damn near every make of sport bike and my KTM is hands down my favorite..
  5. so on this past Tuesday we had a nice sunny day so I took advantage of it and rode my scooter to Jiu Jitsu. The commute to class is about 12 minutes on the weekend but on a weekday it could take up to 1 1/2 hours. The highway in question is 405, its a 3 lane road with a carpool lane. As I make my way on to the highway, the 2 non carpool lanes are completely stopped. My goal is to get over to the carpool lane on my scooter as quick as possible so I don't have to sit in the traffic. As I make my way over in the lanes a black Silverado SS decides that he doesn't like the fact that I am getting over and speeds up and damn near rear ends me. Had I even tapped my brakes a little bit, he would have blasted me. I really wish you were on this forum so I could tell you how much of an a$$hole you are. /rant just in case you happen to be on here, hopefully this picture of my scooter looks familiar and you speak up.
  6. probably not interested in some perfect chrome SS wheels with 90% tread are ya?
  7. what size tire and wheel are you running?
  8. congrats on getting it worked out..
  9. what type of electrical issues and what exact area are you in?
  10. Everytime I try to go to page 2 in my thread in the members intro section, it takes me to a nazi video.. People mistake me for a skinhead but I assure you I am not.. I just look like it..
  11. Nope, I'm at Bankers in downtown Renton. We do however have a couple guys working for us that used to work there... What shop do you work at?
  12. a truck is replaceable, you are not.. Sucks it happened, but glad you are OK..
  13. sweet, I've been spotted.. It took me a long time to gather all those emblems...
  14. ahhhh, reading comprehension>me that sounds like a more realistic time frame.
  15. 2 weeks to paint a hood? Hopefully they are blending down in to the fenders as well.? Even with blending, 2 weeks sounds like a very long time.. Thats about a 3 day turn around at my shop. Either way, I like the looks of the HD hood on there..
  16. thank you gentleman.. I am a member of a lot of different car and truck forums and this is my first Chevy forum. I feel like I got a decent deal on the truck its got 84k on the odometer and it has been VERY well taken care of.. As far as the pinstripe goes, it is a silver leaf custom stripe. I have NEVER been a fan of any kind of pinstripping but I am kind of liking this due to it just being silver leaf and the quality of it.. Drove it into Seattle today to take the kiddos to the zoo and as far as freeway driving goes, it seems to be a lot of fun and rides and handles way better than I expected.. My last truck that I just got rid off was a 2005 Cummins Dodge dually lifted on 37's, so its quite a change as far as driver goes.. I will continue to snoop around on here and search for answers to any questions I might have, but I will give you guys fair warning, I can be a little bit of a smart ass the majority of times. 1 question for now, what are the known problems with these trucks if any, especially with the drivetrain...
  17. Just picked up a 2003 Silverado SS and fingered I should introduce myself. My original intentions was to end up with a 1st generation Ford HD Edition(I know its a Ford, but I have never discriminated against any make of vehicle) but they only came in RWD. My original passion was in the VW car scene but the older I get, the farther from those cars I get. My truck is pretty much bone stock but as with every vehicle I have owned, it won't stay that way for long. I am a professional bodyman and future plans for the truck are to make it faster, lower, and with minor body mods. I must say, after owning this for just a day, I am VERY happy with my choice of going with the SS. It's an all around perfect truck for my needs.. Here is a picture after picking it up yesterday.
