So now that I have my P1sc on the truck Ive been looking at the engine cover on the driver side I want to put it back on the vehicle to keep a semi stock look and while they were off for the Procharger build I took the time to color match and paint them for the hell of it. I knew the driver side would need a little trimming to fit but I don't want to cut into the vents over the alternator. Ive seen a couple people that have just let it press against the side of the Procharger head unit, is this safe?

Haha Joe it's not your stepper motor it's the way you have to drive around here. Doesn't matter what interstate you're on in the Detroit area if your not going over 100mph traffic is getting backed up behind you. At least that's the way it seems anymore.

Yeah I wanted a red one bad but an ss ornament is cool what ever the color although I did feel like I was cheating on my truck a little buying a blue one. Lol
-
Only made them in the blue I looked for a long time to find a red one and e entually had to get the blue myself.

I HATE any car or truck going unbelievable slow in front of me in the fast lane. Lol but seriously I think it would have to be neon srt-4's quick little ugly things and 9 times out of 10 driven by complete DB's.

The Motorcraft part # from the dealership is no longer good in the ford parts database I found this out over the last week trying to hunt it down finally went to O'reillys and cross referenced it to a pcv334. Just so people know.

Motocraft EV127 pcv valve for the Thunderbird turbo.
Direct replacement. $12 from the dealer.
Small Specter air filter from Autozone.
7/8" hole in the oil fill plug.
$12

Not to steal the thread but I have a question. I've been told on boosted motors if you run ford super coupe pcv valve and a breather (valve cover, oil fill tube, etc,) you don't really need a catch can is this true?
-
Ok I picked up the ford pcv after work and also grabbed an oil filler cap breather. The question I guess is the guy I bought my Procharger from said "if you run the ford pcv and a breather you don't need a catch can." Is this true or was I misled? Trying to get the finishing touches done on this build before spring and just want to know it's done right.
-
When I bought my Procharger I was told that instead of running a catch can off the pcv port I could run a pcv valve from a ford thunderbird supercoupe and achieve the same results eliminating the catch can all together. Has anyone done this or been told of it before and when I went to my local ford dealer to get one they said the pcv valve part # EV-127 5K21 was no longer available and couldn't be cross referenced does anybody have info on how to get one if I can actually do this?

Ok I'm down to make the trek second question, is the $75 for racing or like test and tune runs for the day?

Welcome to the site good to see another local with good taste in trucks.

I'm interested it's almost 8 hours from me in Detroit tho. Anyone In that general area interested in doing a convoy? Id like to get atleast one other truck to run with for fun and just in case there is any unforeseen issues on the way down and back.

Got my hats last night, nice! Very nice! Thanks for taking the time to set this up.

No worries just excited to get them and yeah this is probably the worst time of year to get anything done in a hurry. Thanks again for taking the time to do this for all of us.

Curious, I bumped up to 42lbs injectors with my Procharger would the fmu do anything more if added to current fuel delivery mods?

Veteran member or not mistakes a mistake. You don't want them don't buy them plain and simple and Being a veteran "member" doesn't intimidate me just cause I have t been a site member as long as you doesn't say I haven't been a part of the SSS community since I bought mine new in 03 so you can throw snyde remarks at me with your lol's ftw's and wtf's all you want.
-
No need to get nasty about it, it was a simple mistake and you can bash me all you want if it makes some sort of difference to you. Your just pissed cause you were looking to make a steal that didn't work out for you. $80 is beyond reasonable $40 is ridiculous they are still in the box they came in.
-
Hangers are from the 2/3 drop kit Mcgaughys sells for the SSS I like a little rake on the truck and found I liked the look with just the shackles and drop spindles I believe you can get 1 to 2 inches with the hangers but I'm not positive with never installing them. And as soon as I get home this evening I will take photos of them.
-
Sorry to do this guys but the hanger price was incorrect its $80 for both hangers $40 a piece. Which is still a $40 discount from the store and they are brand new never used in the box. Once again sorry for the misunderstanding that was my fault for not checking what I was typing.

Does the engine cover touch the side of the head unit?
