If it wasn't the holidays they would be mine. Have you tried Craigslist? A lot of guys here are not big rim fans, at least from what i've seen.

It took some effort and drilling a hole but I ran mine behind the cubby under the heater control. I think that spot was best for me. I like having my phone right there.

I did the kenwood 719. I would also recommend solder. I have installed all my own stereo equipment for years. Butt splice Connecters or solder. Wire nuts are messy and can come Undone. I have a few pics I took for another forum I used for a build log of my last system build.
All wired up and taped to be clean. Took me about 30 minutes.

My favorite part about winter is my truck stays clean. The only good thing about a fairbanks winter.

So I have been trying to decide how I want to add power thought about NA but think the easiest and quickest way is FI. So with that said, I always figured I would buy new. But I've been noticing there are always used sc units for sale on here or eBay. So my question is what are important questions to ask the seller of a used unit. And I sure they are very different for a sc or turbo. Any input would be appreciated. And if you think the idea of used is a bad idea tell me and tell me why so I can weigh my options. Thanks!

I like it. It turned out great. Anybody who gets in my truck asks me if my truck came like that. I'm glad I went through with it. All the shipping bs to get it to and from Alaska. I'm 99% sure I'm the only one in the state with an interior like mine now. Thanks again Millerss!

Cool pick. And the way I look at it is haters are a part of looking good/cool or having a good life. People who want what you have hate. But any way. Thought the pic was pretty dope and didn't think you should let the haters get you down. FTW!

It happens man. My girl totaled my last silverado. First ? Was are you ok. About 5 minutes later I realized my truck was gone then i was mad. Needless to say she doesn't drive the ss. But it always hurts to see your truck destroyed.

Well just my opinion but I put some on my other 05 silverado an they looked great during the day and liked the led lights with the halo. However I didn't like the amount of light the projected. It focuses the light, you can see a very distinct line where the light ends. I live in Alaska so I like bright since its dark 5 months out of the year.
So other than that the bulb type is different and you do need to wire in the led's and halo's. aside from that I don't think there should be any other modification needed.

I've been trying to figure out all the same stuff. It's difficult when your totally new to adding hp. My advice is spend as much time as you have reading threads here on the forum about any topic related to your questions. I was going to do tons of bolt ons and I have decided to do the few staple bolt ons like CAI, cam, stall, headers and intake. Then keep saving to get a procharger I'm not going to do heads until I know exactly what the future holds for my motor. But I wish you luck on your search for power.

Yeah I looked at it some more today and I can't imagine the poor soul that has tried it the other way. After the first attempt and seeing how small that hole was I was like ummmm I know that is not how you change that. I knew you guys would have answers so thanks.

So I recently ordered and received some led plate lights. When I went to replace them it wasn't like my regular 1500. There is a small hole that a toddler couldn't fit their hand through to get to the bulb. Any advice on best approach to replace bulbs would be appreciated.

Doing the steering wheel interface wasn't as hard as I thought. I opened it a looked at all the wires and said eff this. But then a buddy who is an installer showed me what was actually required and it wasn't that bad. I think the hardest part was teaching the deck the steering wheel functions.
