Yeah, my passenger ones works fine too. I don't think it will shut off when I turn the driver's side one on though. I'll check at lunch... I'm guessing the heating element is more money than I want spend to to fix it...

The mornings are starting to get a little chilly here in the PNW. I tried to use my heated seats for the first time and the driver's side doesn't work. When I press the button the light will turn on but will turn off again after a few seconds. It turns off quicker when I try pressing it again and again. Anyone know what the issue might be? I have to be at work at 6AM so it would be nice to have heated seats during the week! Especially when winter rolls in...

Just had my front diff rebuilt a few weeks ago. Cost me $1020... Didn't know the cluster and steering wheel clunk could be fixed for free. Is this for any year/mileage?

Is there a fuse/relay for charging while towing? I have a travel trailer that's supposed to charge while hooked up to the truck and I'm not sure that it is. I've heard some trucks don't come with the fuse or relay (to stop charging when truck is turned off). Thanks

Just curious...What kind of gas mileage are you guys getting without towing? I feel like I'm getting 12 mpg without the boat or camper trailer. Lol

Thanks! Just came back from a short ride, returned a redbox movie with my wife. I asked her to listen carefully and feel around. Looks like it could be the glovebox handle? Pushing in on it didn't do anything, but putting a finger inside from underneath and wiggling it seemed to make the same sound. I'm going to check here pretty soon to see if there's a way to tighten it...

Long shot, but I'm wondering if someone can help me with this. Just started hearing an annoying sound coming from the front passenger side area. I can't tell where it's coming from exactly, but it sounds like it's coming from the glovebox area or below it. At first I thought it was my keys and actually grabbed them to rule that out. It's a metallic clicking sound and there is no pattern to it, random clicks, sometimes rapidly and other times not at all. I'm not sure at this point since it's only been a day, but I don't think I'm hearing it when driving over perfectly flat/smooth roads. Going on my first camping trip this weekend since getting married (wow, 5 years) and now I got this annoying clicking sound! Any ideas on what this might be? I've never heard a sound like this in any of the cars/trucks I've owned in the past.

My tiny camper is only about 1200 lbs so hopefully I get better gas mileage than you. I get terrible gas mileage pulling the boat...

Anyone here have a lot of experience towing here? Seems like most SSS owners are mostly interested in racing... In general is slower better? Or is there a certain speed that is most efficient? Thanks for any replies!

Buying a tonneau cover this week and need to be able to lock the tailgate. I'd prefer one that ties into the keyless entry. What's everyone using?

Just bought my truck and I'm curious what exhaust system this is. Sounds like the Magnaflows on a previous truck (low, loud rumble), but I don't see any markings anywhere. Is this custom made? Can anyone tell me more about this system? I'm not very knowledgable about exhaust systems so any info would be great (type, brand, quality, etc).

Yikes. I'm at 100K, what else should I have done? If I'm not adding power does the transmission need any work? Will I know if I have issues with the transfer case? Anyway to know if the chain was replaced already?

So other than the front differential, transfer case, and transmission, these trucks are pretty tough? I'm starting to regret this purchase already...My 20 yr old Nissan had nothing done but oil changes and timing chain. I guess it doesn't put a smile on my face like the SS does though.

Is this something I can do myself? The truck drives fine, but the steering wheel is not centered. Noon on the steering wheel is at about 2 o' clock.

How does a drop effect payload? I'm considering doing this but would like to keep using my truck as a truck...

Kind of bittersweet. Noises are gone, but kicking myself in the ass for dropping a grand in REPAIRS for a truck I just bought. Could've gone towards a supercharger or another UPGRADE.
