My steering seems to be loose also...I have a 99 silverado and the steering is WAY tighter than my 03 ss....Tie rod problems?

The temp gauge ended up working fine on its own again. I had the battery unhooked for a while. I guess it took the computer that long to readjust???

I just unplugged the sensor and started it up and got nothing. No movement at all. I plugged it back in and got a temp reading for a few seconds and dropped to nothing again. This makes me think that it is the sensor....

Yes, it went to the proper temp. It never went past half or near half at all

I took it for a ride and got the engine warm. Started it up the temp went up for a few seconds and dropped. Question is: Can I just buy a stepper motor for it? How much are total clusters for these beasts?

Yes it moves to a normal position when I turn the key on. I start the engine and after a few seconds it drops back dead.

changed all my plugs and wires today. Now I noticed my temp gauge isn't working. Maybe I bumped the sensor by the #1 plug??? I tried unplugging it and that didn't work. I am just wondering if I can buy one from the auto parts store. Could this be something on the cluster wrong also? Thanks

I changed just #3 plug. It is running better at idle and on the road.(no sputtering) Light is off. Exhaust smell is gone. I bought all new plugs and wires so I will replace them all today. Keeping my fingers crossed that this was the problem!

I forgot to say. Truck is 100% stock

I had the local garage put my truck on the scanner because the cel was either on or flashing. Truck was sputtering. Exhaust smells like rotten eggs. It came back multiple misfire.(MAF and possible fuel pump) We went for a ride and I could see cylinder 3 was misfiring on the computer. When we slowed down to turn around cylinder 1 began to misfire as well. I have the 03 ss with only 49k miles. Where would be a good place to start? I can't imagine the plugs or wires being bad already. I have only driven it about 1700 miles in the last 8 months. No problems till now. Thanks!
