I tried the brush on dupli color paint man what a mistake that was. Did one caliper and that was enough for me went to auto zone and got some vht red. That is some good shit there! If you have a victory red it will match almost perfect. Now just to see how it holds up.

Well got some new belltech shocks from Tony installed and no more weird wobble, shake or anything. Love the shocks they ride great help a bunch with the handling big improvement.

What did he charge to do your caliper stickers?

Yeah I believe I am going with the beltech shocks and get the sway bar set as well.

I agree with all of this if it ain't broke don't fix it!! Lol I will probably just do s:hocks for now which it does need and I will just grease the joints a bit more than usual. Anyone have an suggestions on good shocks? I was looking at the beltech shock are they pretty decent for a stock height truck?

That was going to be my next question about the uppers. So just take off the nut an the bolt slides out will the adjustment stay the same or will it have to be set back to its original place when I replace them?

Not to bad huh I will do it myself then but I may just replace the upper control arm and do lower ball joints.

Alright cool all new to me with the torsion bar stuff. Jounce bumpers well if that's ho they are suppose to be then they are doin right lol.all the ball joint boots are dry rotted and cracked that's where the grease is coming out of so I believe they need to be replaced by I could be wrong of course. I should just lower it and change ball joints all at once would be the smart thing to do I guess.

Looked under my truck the other day and seen almost all of my ball joints were leaking grease so got replace those. I also noticed its riding on the bump stops its an 05 awd. Didn't think it was suppose to be riding on those. Doesn't appear to be lowered in anyway that I've noticed. I bought it used and not real familiar with the truck yet.

I really wonder what the rest of the drive train will stand though? I mean we are talking nearly double the power the lq9 is putting out now. I don't believe the 4l65 can stand that much for very long and I have no idea what the awd system can stand. Surely someone on here has a good idea. Yeah that would probably be about the easiest thing to do is find another harness.

I have found out one thing for sure that needs to be changed is the reluctor wheel from the 24x to the 58x. I found a conversion kit that lingenfelter has that will fix this issue. it's not bad at $250 or so.What else can you think of that will need to be changed chawkins6789?

Has anyone here ever look into bluprintengines? They have a sweet drop in ls 427 yeah it's 9 grand but pretty much complete. The thing makes 625 hp and 565 ft lbs! So if anyone has any experience with this builder lets hear what ya have to say. What do you think would have too be done tranny wise in a stock 05 awd ss? Just curious on this I think it would be a crazy build and it's cheaper than a gm crate motor. Already dyno tested and you send in your ecm and they will program it for you at no extra charge. I will seriously consider this in a few years if every one on here thinks it sounds like a decent product.

LOL!! Yeah gotta have that halrem shake diagnosed! Could be a major problemin the future! Seriously it could be radial runout it doesn't have any steering shake or anything like that. So I will get that checked and replace shocks when I can get to it.

Sweet!! I looked and looked for one of these things sure you can find em but they either have a ton of miles or are beat to hell! Mine was on the lot for about 24hrs when I bought it and he had three guys ask him about while I was signing papers!!! So I got lucky I guess.

That seems like the next best place to go is shocks pretty easy and cheap fix! I looked at the shocks on the rear and they look like the factory shocks. Its only got 60k miles on it so that is possible.

I recently bought an 05 ss awd and love it! It has a strange sort of wobble or bounce that seems to be coming from the rear of the truck that only comes at about 42-45 mph. So I had all four wheels rotated and balanced since that seems like the obvious place to start. It is still there after being done they did say it took quite a few ounces to get them right but they are balanced.I will have it aligned soon to see if that helps any but does anyone have any suggestions to this?

I need some headlights for sure. It has some leds on it now but the adjustment for the brights on the passenger side is broke so I will just replace them since they a pretty much shot.

Cool, thanks everyone I didn't know if there was any certain site that people were drawn to. All of those will work for me I am sure. love the truck so for plenty of power damn thing is plenty fast for me right now.
