Wth is a rear girdle and a bump stop?
-
I already know the cam, but the shocks and suspension and rear end looks amazing. I really want to know what the hell I need to do to get mine to look like that.
I was able to find the truck on PT.net but wasnt able to get him to write me back.
Any help would be much appreciated. I mainly just want the good looks the truck has

You might be stuck getting one out of a junk yard. or making your own harness and finding the clip.
Not a bad idea about the junkyard. Its just impossible to find one around my area.

*** Bump** would like the onstar in my truck to work... Atleast the temp lol
-
For some reason my cord that goes into the rearview is cut when I bought it, and the pin connector was missing. so I just need the cable or about 6 inches of cable and the pin so that I can solder them together.
Prefer the entire cable though.
Thanks!

I bought my truck brand new from the dealer with no dash lock switch. Rough guess on price + shipping to 91761
x2 my truck doesnt have a lockout switch. Its an 06 2wd. Not sure if thats normal or not.

bump to top. Looking for OnStar Harness Willing to do some kind of trade?
-
Just wondering if you might have the OnStar harness for the rearview mirror and the cable that runs under the liner? And how much for it shipped to 29909

Thanks. I looked but couldnt find exactly what I was looking for. Do those LED bulbs for the headlights even look decent or does it just look cheap? I am a big fan of the white lights but i hate anything that looks imported or crappy. Just dont know if anyone was actually cheap enough to buy those bulbs and try it.

I was wondering if anyone knew the dome and map light specs like the watts and the size/model. I just wana do an easy pop and swap for about 10$ those kits are a rip off.
-
pm sent. if I cut tip off I can cut the muffler off or ship pipes to wherever and cut a ghetto way to remove the cats lol.

bump. 120+ shipping for exhaust 40 + shipping on air intake
-
Wow that thing is beautiful! Hell of a job. For 65k GLWS! Worth it but so much money to the normal person!
-
yes exactly what he wants. what size cam would you recommend? and a nice sounding exhaust? headers back.
Go to the engine modification forum and look at the sticky "Cam choice guide" It really helped me pick a street cam for my truck that I am working towards getting in the future. If you want a cam people are gonna push you towards a converter and injectors also

Air intake is in great condition ill take 45+ shipping for it. Complete parts, mounting plate box air filter (Dirty) grommets. Missing is the MAF but I had to use it obviously.
Exhaust is in good condition, there is stains on it, not rust just stains. I cut it from the y on the back of the muffler to the tip so it would fit in my truck. its in 2 pieces but will have to be in 3 to ship. exhaust I will let go for 150+ shipping, the cut was a clean cut with a clean saw. Easy to weld back on or put a better muffler in there.
Located in SC near Hilton head Island.
I have photos if you text me @ 409-877-2 five eight six

Its an 06 SSS. Gibson did make one for this truck if not I am screwed.

bump*
Got everything in today will install Saturday. I will keep posted. Still not sure how or if I should remove the cats.
-
Just got a crazy deal on some Gibson Supertruck exhaust, wasnt my exhaust of choice but I got it for more than half price brand new, side exit exhaust. 2.5" pipe dual in dual out muffler.
I wanted to know if anyone had any opinions on the cats if I should remove them or not, if if I do should I get a mid pipe or just weld some steel in place of the cats?
I know it will create rasp but personally I like rasp but I am not sure what your opinions of "Rasp" is. A low rumble doesnt sound good to me, I like something to sound loud and mean. But still tamed at the same time. I am used to a supercharged Mach 1 so it sounds amazing I wish my truck could sound anything like a my stang lol.
Anyone have this exhaust set up? or could giv eme some advice on what to do? Maybe where to get a good cheap x pipe and install it instead?
-
Pics of the OE and GMC wheels plz?
-
Would there be a way to get a dual side exit exhaust set up to convert the two into one pipe?
True dual that is or would yall think it would change the exhaust too much!
-
All these guys say get quotes from "Exhaust shops" when your local neighborhood mechanic is capable and willing to do headers/exhaust work. They do the same thing. Maybe an exhaust shop if you want some extreme custom modifications going on. I use my local mechanic. A real old school guy thats just extremely smart and knows his shit. I would try that out first. I got a complete installation on an old truck from a local mechanic for 150$ headers and everything. Its just who you know I guess. But you said you can weld yourself so try that!
-
I was going to do the same thing, but instead of having two stock Exhaust tips I was going to go this route, but only on one side.
Would there be a way to get a dual side exit exhaust set up to convert the two into one pipe?

You can get a tune to where your computer thinks you have CATS and it really doesnt. Its alla bout knowing the right people, in TX I just paid someone to get a sticker I never even had to bring my truck there, just paid like 120$ and gave him my vin and he gave me a sticker.
