  1. Welcome to the forum! From Hanover, PA.
  2. Alex, they do look awesome! They are one piece headlights with vertical LEDs on the side that you need to hookup to either your DRL lights or your regular night headlights. I was going with the DRL but now they are off and the original ones are back on. I can take pictures (including the black grill) so you can see what they look like. I got the original packing and they are brand new with only a few hours mounted on the truck. I need to check how much I paid for the kit and I will give you a good deal.
  3. Ok Guys, here's my two cents on headlights. Three weeks ago I went ahead and bought new one piece smoked/dark headlights and grill set. I'd had a choice of either clear or smoke so I went fwith smoke. They look awesome! They even come with LEDs on the side! They are a "head turner" body mod that everyone seens to like on my black SSS. The only thing is that I can't see crap at night! The 55w halogens work fine but the smoked finish and the lack of headlight adjustment makes it very difficult to see the road. My wife got scared so I ended up puting back the originals. So if anyone wants to buy these headlights and grill I will give an awesome deal on it. You won't regret the way they look but you have to live with the low amount of light coming out.
  4. I may try again when it gets warmer. Is too cold out there right now. Thank you for your input and have a nice Holiday Season!
  5. Mine look similar but a little bigger. We try all angles and positions but they would not fit inside or behind the ducts. Oh well, I can always go with the round ones if I ever decide to cahnge these ones. Cheers!
  6. I can check. I do think they came as "OEM replacement" from Autoanything but I could be wrong. Since I don't have any original lights I'm unable to compare sizes but these lights are definitely bigger than the brake air ducts.
  7. Cool Man! They look awesome! My lights are bigger and won't fit with the ducts in place. I'm glad it worked for you. I'd finally installed my new switch, made sure that the relay was in place and the lights came on without taking the truck to the dealer for programming. I'm happy with the outcome and I'm saving my ducts in a safe place. They are expensive and hard to find. Cheers!
  8. I'm finally done with my new fog lights installation. Since the fog lights for Silverado won't fit the SS and GM don't provide brackets for the SS bumper (SS bumper don't have openings like the regular Silverado) I'd removed the brake cooling "ducts" and sure enough, there was a bracket atached to the metal on the bumper that matched the installation holes on my new OEM Silverado fog lights. But don't worry, I'm saving those in a safe place. You also need to replace the light switch if it does not have the push button for fog lights. That cost me another $35.00. They look awesome! I also wanted to keep my factory connectors in one piece so the H10 male connectors pigtails that I'd bought makes a better and longer connection to the original connectors and to my new fog lights. My headlights are dark with running LEDs on the side and I'm also installing voltage suppresors on the LEDs so they won't burn with the 14 VDC surges. I will post pictures when everything gets done. Cheers!
  9. Welcome Randy from Ohio! I'm a freshman myself ....
  10. Guys, I'm working on my new fog lights adapters since the fog lights for Silverado won't fit the SS and also, GM don't provide brackets for the SS bumper (SS bumper don't have openings like the regular Silverado) so the brake cooling "ducts" will have to do and I want to keep my factory connectors in one piece as well. So I'd ordered two male connectors pigtails that will connect to the original connectors and to my new fog lights. My headlights are dark with running LEDs on the side and I'm also installing voltage suppresors on the LEDs so they won't burn with the 14 VDC surges. I will post pictures when everything gets done. Cheers!
