  1. Hate to do this but it's time for a 4 door pickup. The ss has become to small for my family. 03 silverado ss - 6.0 awd - black with charcoal leather interior - 186k miles - always synthetic Mobil 1 oil changes - transmission is replaced a year ago with heavier 4L70e trans - Pioneer double din tv/DVD/back up camera, 12 inch sub and amp under rear sear - electric brake controller - lowered 2" with spindles and shackles, new bell tech shocks and rear air ride wth on board air compressor - limo tinted windows - k&n cold air intake - tuned to run on 93 octane gas - truck was not bought as a show truck and it was used as a pickup truck to haul motorcyles so bed is scratched and truck has some scratches and dings - drivers seat base has rips and will need to be replaced. Seat heat still works. A/c blows cold, the compressor clutch will make some noise every once in a whole. Truxsport soft bed cover. Drove it to Rhode Island last week and Hartford this week. Runs great. I don't need to sell so no $5k offers please $8500 firm Paul [email protected] 516-784-7124 Please call/text/email I don't check the site that often for pm's
  2. 2003 black sss. 177k miles on truck. Transmission was put in 5k miles ago. Transmission is 4l70 out of newer tbss. Converter and x-case changed at the same time. Runs prefect. I drive it daily. Has k&n cold air, ecu tuned, stock exhaust, lowered 2" with spindles and drop shackles, steering rods are all upgraded and has rear Firestone airbags for carrying weight. Pioneer DVD/tv with backup camera and one 10" sub under rear seat. Truck was used as a truck so it has scratches and dings, needs drivers seat and a good cleaning. Rims are plasi dipped black but are clean underneath. Tires are good. $10k firm Paul 516-784-7124
  3. I have a stock cat-back with the big x 3" dual in and out muffler welder in. Does no have ss tip on it. Never did when I bought the truck. I cut it right after the muffler to get it out easier and for shipping proposes. Asking $200 plus shipping Also have a stock muffler - $20 plus shipping Paul [email protected]
  4. I'd like to start this back up...... I just put a dual in/out magnaflow built in x muffler in over the weekend and i want to shoot myself now, it drones so bad!!! It is the worst thing ever in life right now. Stock is to quiet this is just plain obnoxious. Please help before I put the stocker back in. I just want a tiny bit louder then stock honestly.
  5. I got rear ended on friday so now i need a complete rear bumper setup. Support, cover, spare tire crank cover, step pads, etc. Prefer black so i can just put it on, but i have to paint the bed anyway. Doesnt have to be 100% perfect. Paypal waiting...give me price shipped to 11710.
  6. My truck came with a ripped drivers seat so I'm looking for a new one. Even if its missing head rest or its just the bottom part. Must be clean that all. Or anyone know where to get replacement cover?
  7. I used tbss transfer (and trans) because I didn't know it was different at the time of swap. Just bought the truck with the blown trans. It was very straight forward. The truck Is stock and really didn't buy it to race, bought it as a toy hauler, so I won't be able to tell you how it launches. I could take some photos tomorrow if anyone is interested in seeing it installed. Ill be under the truck changing oil anyway.
  8. Tbss shaft was in. I didn't realize the size difference until I drove and got vibration. And SSS shaft doesn't fit tbss transfer. So $150 later I now have custom made shaft installed.
  9. Ok so just finished 4l70e swap in my 03 SSS. I got a low mileage setup for very cheap and couldn't pass it up. You need converter, trans and transfer case. Everything bolts up the same. Neutral safety/backup switch must be used from 4l65e. Only real problem is front universal joint is smaller from tbss. So I just need to figure that out. But truck runs with trans in and shifts nice a firm.
  10. So not the shift module. The neutral safety/reverse switch. I don't know the black box on the side of the trans. I got a new one today. It will bolt up but it's raining here so it will have to wait another day.
  11. So just did the swap and the shift module is different. And worst part mine broke when pulling the harness off. Will a shift module from my 03 SSS fit on the 06 tbss trans I just put in?? Someone please tell yes
  12. Got a complete trans setup now I just need to install thanks for the help
  13. Not to steal your post but I have same question. Just bought a trans, converter, and transfer case from low mileage tbss thinking it was the same. Is there anything special I need to know with this swap? Drive shafts the same? Etc.....
  14. New member to the forum, Just bought an 03 silverado ss with a blown trans. So I'm looking for a stock trans with transfer case. Figure ill just swap them both out and save the headache. Located in NY. Let me know what you have and how much.
