I wouldn't do this kind of job just for 100K. See what's happening in Japan right now.... Super dangerous.
Look what it actually took for that type of thing to happen... 2 natural disasters back to back... The likely hood is sooooo small of that happening that I think it's well worth the risk.
So many redundant systems and what not to prevent it from happening. Obviously not saying it can't or wont happen but not very likely.

I've purchased one from eBay before. It comes with instructions on how to program it. Worked great, never had an issue.

Agreed. The driver side is self tinting so there is actual fluid in the mirror. If the mirror breaks and the fluid leaks out and gets on anything painted it will destroy it. Just a FYI, The mirror is called electrochrome mirror.

Be gentle with that drivers side mirror that bad boys about 230.00 bucks auto dimming passenger sides the cheapest you lucked out
I found one on ebay, just the mirror for about 130. OEM used... has worked great for several months now...
But if ur looking new then ya, ur screwed! very expensive.

I say go for 55w 5000k. Those r what I've been happiest with. If u want a little hint of blue go with 6000k. I would go with 55w for sure though. Having had both 35 and 55, the 55w is a lot brighter imo.

Which is it... easy or pain in the dick? LolI did this one. Its easy, but a bit of a pain in the dick. You need wheel and clock spring. Then replace both. Go one plug at a time to make it easier on yourself. There is lime 14 plugs. One will be left over because you dont have quadrasteer. Then head to your dealer of choice for programming

I did mine a year ago and my gauges have hot spots galore. I used the flat top LEDs. Would switching all of them to the round top ones solve the hot spot issue? I'm getting tired of yanking this cluster apart. Iv even added many extra LEDs in hoping to fix it, but no luck,
i think it's a matter of adding extra lights but also positioning them to where they're not directly under a number or what not. it is a pain in the ass! lol
