  1. What converter would be right for me... Im lightly modded( headers and stuff like that). It's a dd. I was thinking of something around 2800-3200 and do I need one with lock up? How would this effect daily driving? Would it still take off like normal until I hold the brake?.. I've read so much on different sites and can't made heads or tales of what they do to drive ability.
  2. Noticed a knock in my truck today. I can hear it best form the inside of the cab and around the driver side tire. I don't hear it until the engine warms up. I can't here it when I rev the truck. Motor run perfect and 40 psi of oil pressure at idle. I can't figure out where it's coming form or what maybe the problem.
  3. A truck I can still drive around town and take anywhere I need to go. I never tow. Right now I have long tubes headers and a cai and a diablo programmer. I wanna go fast!! LoL
  4. Yeah that's a monster. We got some monsters in western Kentucky and some decent sized here. What specs should I look for when I buy a Tc? Around 3200 stall? And what brand?
  5. At what speeds would I notice it? I see you like to dear hunt. Where you form?
  6. How would it effect daily driving? Wouldn't it slip at highway speeds ( cruising speeds 45-75)?
  7. How would a converter act like... I've never road In a truck with one.
  8. What's heads and cam would I need? I want to keep the rpm range close to stock. I don't want to have to use a stall.
  9. If I swap out my crank and make it a 408 what kind of hp would it make? With stock heads and stuff. Like to get around 400 to 450 to the rear. Or what would be the cheapest easiest way to make that kind of hp?
  10. I'll be there if everything works out. I live in hazard ky. It's only 2.5 hours away. Just according if my wife has hatched. She's prego lol.
  11. Would it be better to y-pipe it, so it would hold good back pressure? I know the 3in duals on the 2500hd with no cats was to much for the truck. Pacesetter makes a y-pipe that made for the headers i want, maybe do a single in dual out and without the cats. All in 3in pipe.
  12. http://www.borla.com...indual_out.htmlI just want to make sure I get it right...lol. I dont want it to be like my old truck and kill the power. Would I have to have the flanges or can I have the pipe welded to the headers? Who dose the best tuning on these trucks...zippy? This is the muffler I need. Do I still have to x-pipe it with this muffler?
  13. So if i keep my pipe dia. around 2.5in. I can run ture duals with no cats and i will gain power right? So I will have to reduce the pacesetters down form 3in to 2.5in? Have you guys ever used borla mufflers? I was looking at them two. One more thing will the pacesetters work with the awd trucks?
  14. Stock right now. I want to go with two flowmasters. The 2500hd had dual 3in form the factory. I think i opened it up two much. lol
  15. Hi, im new to the site. I rectently traded my 2003 2500hd for a 2004 ss. I was wanting to upgrade my headers and run true duals, but i tried the true duals and no cats on the 2500hd and it really hurt the power. I want to run pacesetter headers (long tube). What setup will show me gains and wont hurt hp. Both trucks has the 6.0. I know i will have to have it tuned for the headers. I would really like to get ride of the cats to. Thanks!
