  1. Oh yeah! And of course out of the mini fuses we had at the house, there were 10's and 20's loll sent from your HTC Rezound
  2. Didn't get a new fuse yet wasn't sure which stores would be open on Sundays and I wasn't gonna drive between em to find out. So I went fishing instead Tomorrow morning-ish for sure though! sent from your HTC Rezound
  3. It better be the sole reason.. Or else I'll rage quit lol sent from your HTC Rezound
  4. WELL... checked that radio fuse.. Aannnd, that could very well be the problem! Lolll I'll replace that before I do any more with the wires sent from your HTC Rezound
  5. Ok man I'll try the red/yellow now before I head off to work, where I'll be till about 1am..so I'll try the test light tomorrow hopefully sent from your HTC Rezound
  6. Tie which of the red and yellow together? 24pin red to harness yellow? And yeah we have a test light, I thought about using it when the radio was hooked up but no power sent from your HTC Rezound
  7. So I just checked the HU power fuse.. Good. Removed the soldered extension of yellow and black wire, so it connects from HU harness directly to 24pin harness wire. Then even tried reconnecting the red power wire from the overly long one on 24pin, to the shorter one Aannnd still no power sent from your HTC Rezound
  8. Nah I didn't check. There was one 10 fuse on the back of the radio, but my fingernails couldn't pull it. I'll check the fuse and take out that solder extension then try again. Did everything else seem alright though wire/connection wise? sent from your HTC Rezound
  9. yeah, sooo i suck lol http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ythMT7GGkjs any sort of guess of what i screwed up??
  10. lol for sure!! still far from over though :/ will have to connect nav wires, this pink 'car speed signal imput' wire BS, remove old GPS reciever, replace with new one, remove all the crap from the old pioneer module which hopefully doesnt involve removing the seats, console, and carpet.., and double check the inverter is good
  11. Suweett! I'll do that after class tonight. I'm excited to see if it works!! Lol! sent from your HTC Rezound
  12. now, 'nother dumb question..the 24pin plug already has the yellow and black wire hooked up (in 2 spots cause i guess he need an extension) and the red from 24pin plug is open. fingers point to each connection do i... A) tap the radio harness's black and yellow into where the other black & yellow connect, making it a three-way? B) leave as is, and tape off radio harness black & yelow? C) cut current connection between the two, connect radio harness to either 24pin plug or other set of wires and tape off non-used? this is one of those questions where i feel like it's legit at this time, but once i get an answer, ill feel stupid as fauk lol  sent from your HTC Rezound
  13. what's the matter with the new tune ya just got?
  14. I do want to use the navigation on it, and from what I understand these are the wires for that here? Harness has solid green, solid blue, purple w/ black, and solid light green that match up there. No light pink (if that matters) Got the RCAs from gmos to radio in The leftovers on the harness, guess I'll just cover/tape up for now sent from your HTC Rezound
  15. just snipped off harnesses HU harness two ends i wasnt sure what to do with. purp w/ white wasnt connected to anything, and that is how the solid blue was  old ford shit plug with RCAs had one negative memory wire running to ford shit. cut that, left with this. all the red & whites are different sound outputs then just the harness and plugs in the radio i haz no RCA ports in the back of HU
  16. sweet!! i can deal with that haha i just clipped off the extra crap that was connected to the non sticker side 10pin plug, which had several female RCA's and another plug, which was all for the old Pioneer. cut off this. was only soldered to a blue w/ white wire coming from 10pin GMOS plug so left with this, which is good. 4 male RCA's, 1 red power wire, 1 blue w/ white wire (remote power iirc?) next i will start de-Fording the new pioneer's wiring harness
  17. yeah next i'm going to cut all off the crimp connectors from the ford harness so i'll be left with just the pioneer harness, here's a better pic of em. as for the red/black/yellow.. im not quite sure whatcha mean. currently, they are running from radio's wire (pics 2, 4, 5, 6 from last post) then connected to the big gray plug, which connects the GMOS to Factory green plug are you saying to disconnect them from the big gray plug, and reconnect them directly to the Pioneer's wiring harness? yes that is them. that is what the instructions per Metra say - if not used, cut and tape off. they were already cut, i just taped em. there IS an orange wire w/ white stripe in my harness though another guy told me:
  18. cut the tri-way, but all i did was snip the extra ends off, and left the two soldered together. figured that would work lol the little stub in the pic is gone too heres that extra red end, leading up to plug left red is the same as above, closer shot into plug. i am keeping this wire right? so now those yellow & black come from the gray plug, soldered to this set, that runs behind the dash. green, pink, blue is speaker wire iirc? heres the end then goes behind (notice the head shield that starts) which actually comes back up, then down the front (just like the big power chord) then down under the steering column where i lost it so those are factory, i assume? hope that gives you a better idea of where those power/ground/memory wires were coming from. i dont see how i can power up my new head unit yet. this is all ford stuff attached to it still. i have no harness for it, and that orange power chord doesnt fit anywhere
  19. did some clipping tonight and overly taped everything cut the dvd wire near the plug cut extra power wire dvd harness OUT! so, the black, red, and yellow wires i'm holding were cut from the DVD harness they run up to this which runs to this. you can see where they go. 1 of each into big gray plug, 1 black & 1 yellow come from the other set which runs back. i also taped those two orange ones together (but not touching) because they were cut but left open and ended at this. dead end green wire, GMSO installed right, black/red/yellow extra end, and thick power cord. im thinking i can ditch where the extra end of black/red/yellow. cut the ends at the tri-way meet point..and splice just to the same gray plug wire, but wanted to double check before i went cut-happy loll
  20. idk a ton about sunroofs, i'm just gonna try and repeat what a guy at a local truck meet told me a couple months ago. i asked him if i should be worried about my sunroof leaking, for i heard that is a common problem with them. he said not at all, the factory sun roofs have a drainage system that runs off the roof and down the door pillars and out the truck. so even if water does get in, it is routed back outside anyway. he also said you can get a regular sunroof installed for like $5-800, but it is cheap because no drain. a real, quality sunroof with the drain will be 1k - 1.5k depending on the shop of course. now, i never looked that up, that is just what he told me..so dont take it to the grave with that lol
  21. goood, hopefully that will fix the problem and i wont have to buy a new alternator like the previous owner thought it was. also, found the Metra radio controll harness for cheap AF. ~$53 shipped with amazon prime, or ~$43 from ebay with free same day shipping. i can afford to wait an extra couple days, so ill probably go ebay. definitely worth it for that price IMO http://www.ebay.com/itm/METRA-AXXESS-ASWC-UNIVERSAL-STEERING-WHEEL-CONTROL-CAR-AUDIO-WIRING-/321081146338?pt=US_Wire_Harnesses&hash=item4ac1ed7be2
  22. haha thank god. although im sure i'll have a grand old time removing the old pioneer module, all its wires and that damn ps2 cable haha i also have weird voltage problems in the truck, and my dad said it may be because of the inverter, because supposedly they are kinda tricky and can screw up voltage if not done properly. so while the old module is going bye-bye we'll check out le inverter
  23. yes..TONS!! its not a tangled clusterfukc anymore. before i had no idea what i was looking at, and now i at least understand most of it. thanks again man
  24. Ooh that may be. Well in that case, I'll return it back to just what I need lol I'm guessing those RCA jacks are aftermarket and run from the dash, under the carpet, to the pioneer module under the back seat.. And all that is useless also? sent from your HTC Rezound
