  1. I'm looking into the Banks exhaust since it seems pretty decent and has a nice looking tip. It's also about half the price of a Corsa. Anyway, does anyone have any experience with this exhaust? Any other thoughts?
  2. No, the regular Silverados had a grill that looked like this http://www.automotive.com/chevrolet/silverado/2003/photos/exterior/grill-front-view/t3-12-8/?vehicletrimabbreviatedid=107 the SS grills look like this http://www.netcarshow.com/chevrolet/2003-silverado_ss/800x600/wallpaper_08.htm See how they're different?
  3. I was wondering if anyone knew where to get the SS inserts for the front grille. I bought my truck with an aftermarket grille and I don't like it that much. My plan is to put it on craigslist and trade it for a stock Silverado one and paint it, but I would need the SS inserts. Just for geeks, does anyone know where to get the entire stock grille for cheap? I prefer OEM. I'd like to know as a backup but I know it will be way cheaper to trade and then buy the inserts.
  4. This is the plan I have for my truck! It looks amazing. Although I think I may paint the emblems black. When I bought the truck the emblems were very poorly painted red so I might as well redo them.
  5. Thanks guys for all the advice. I'll just do a good tuneup on it and start running better gas. I'm sure that will wake it up as you say. I'm looking forward to getting some good info on this forum.
  6. I'm looking at the Belltech SP. Where is the best place to shop for these shocks?
  7. I'm new to the site and just purchased a SSS and I'm really excited about it all. But, when I get on the pedal, it just seems like it's not all there. I called a performance shop here in BR to get some advice. The guy asked me what gas was in it and i told him I assumed it had 87 in it. It probably has been run with 87 all its life since it's cheaper. Anyway, he said that over time with low quality gas that the computer will retard the time a little to protect the motor. He told me to run out the current gas and fill it with 93. Then remove the positive and negative battery posts and touch them to reset the computer. Then the computer will start recognizing good gas and I should get some power back. Does this sound like good advice?
  8. Thanks I was also thinking it could be the differential but hoping it was not. I was going to ask if changing the fluid would help because I did check the level and it was almost an inch low. I will try that before looking to get it rebuilt. I will say this truck has a lot of miles so I can see where the previous owners were neglectful, I need to do some serious pm on this truck. I got a slamming good deal on it so hopefully what I put into it will be worth it.
  9. Hi everyone, this is my first post to this site so go easy on me. I just bought an 03 SSS Monday and whenever I'm cruising around 40 mph and accelerate, something starts whining. I'm guessing it's one of my axles in the front, sounds like the driver side. Has anyone had a similar issue? Also, does anyone know where to get beefier axles? Like gorilla axle makes for ATVs.
