  1. Whats the approximate completion time for the bullet proof awd transfer case??
  2. I am def in for one of these transfer cases!!! I promise if it withstands the abuse I am going to put it through then it will def sale!! Lol Would I send my Tcase to be rebuilt or will they sell complete T-case units??
  3. Sorry that TH400 is going to cost me $1000
  4. There's an old school transmission guy my dad has dealt with for years. I can get a TH400 to handle 1400hp with a 2 year warranty. I know I will have to change the input shaft to 32 splined. But as far as adapter plate I am unsure. If I do have to have one I'll CNC it myself. Lol Fabrication is kinda my strong point. ;) That's good to hear about stock T-cases holding power. I plan to eventually turn it up to about 1000-1200hp range. Should be sick with some 4 wheel burnouts. Lol Going with built 6.0 because they are so plentiful. Going to bore it out slightly to 370 and run stock crank. I'm open to opinions and suggestions though.
  5. I chose TH400 for simplicity and cost. A built TH400 is about half the cost of a built 4L80e. The truck will only leave the garage to race so fuel efficiency is not an issue for me.

  7. I'll post some pics tonight when I get off. Truck is currently at busy shop. But I have pics from when I picked it up and pics of some parts. In the mean time...can anyone tell me how much abuse the 149 T-case can handle?? Is there any aftermarket replacement or company that builds them? Also is the SS half shafts and diff the same as the 8.25 that came in the 4x4 model?

  9. I'm new to the site but not new to Chevy performance. This build will be slow, expensive, and very labor intensive. Basically I've raced cars since I started driving. Got out of the performance world because I was in college and it's expensive. A couple buddies of mine got me into building trucks. After playing around with some quick trucks I decided I wanted to make a grudge truck. The build plan change gears when I watched a buddy of mine put 6 lengths on another truck when he launched 4wd. I kinda wanted to do something different so this is my 1999 AWD turbo build.
  10. I'm from Baton Rouge. I'll make a build thread...it will be a slow progress but it will give me time to read alot of other builds and learn from them.
  11. New member to the site. I've owned a couple fast cars and trucks over the years. But starting my AWD build and I could use as much help as I can get.
