I bought two brand new complete 15" front big brake kits from stoptech. It comes with everything you see in these pictures. ST60 six piston calipers, 15" two piece rotors, stainless lines, mounting brackets, pads, and shims. What's in these pictures is going on my 03 SSS next week. I will take and post plenty of pics when I do it. The second kit isn't even opened yet. Retail is $3400, cheapest I can find this kit online is $2500. I'm asking $1900 firm, shipping is free and none of that PayPal fee BS either. I can get as many of these same front kits as I want. No group buy needed.
If you're interested just PM me.
    The kit number is 83.182.6800.71
StopTech Big Brake Kits 83.182.6800.71 - Free Shipping on Orders Over $99 at Summit Racing

I also have the rear kits but the axle play has to be eliminated as these are not floating calipers. It takes a couple hours of your time and about $20 in parts. $1800 for the complete rear kit.

both kits $3600 shipped to your door.

  2. So I was thinking about getting the same hood that NipRing has and painting the ram air part silver to match my grilles. I had my buddy who does graphic design for a living photoshop it. What do you guys think? NipRing, I hope you dont mind that he used your photo as a baseline.

Yeah, i freaked out a bit thinking there was another truck like mine that goes to the same car wash!! Awesome job on the photoshop! Black looks pretty badass!

  3. Dang Bill, your v.r. SSS looks gangster as F__K !!!! love the look bro. What hood is that??? I am due a new hood has rust on the front seem from the inside.

    Thanks! It's a Goodmark hood. 4147-200-032

Found it new locally for $300 but eBay has them for 300 + 125 shipping. It does nothing but looks badass!

  4. So i did the fan swap in April. I bought brand new Dorman fan setup on Amazon. I bought the harness from LS1Trucks.com and it went together rather flawlessly. However, i kept blowing fuses. I upped the 30a to 40a but id eventually blow those too. Then i started to notice the fuse holders themselves were melting. Even the relay base plugs were melting. I contacted LS1Trucks.com, but they didn't really offer too much help. I thought it was the fans. I had read some bad reviews but plenty of good ones too. But the bad talked about how much the fans drew and blew fuses. So, i actually got my money back from Amazon and then bought the GM efans. But the harness was in rough shape. So i contacted LS Performance Wiring on Facebook and bought his harness. Beautiful product, superior workmanship. 6 weeks after install i noticed a relay base starting to melt...WTF?? I did some reading, a lot of reading. Turns out one of the most common reasons for this issue...is putting the ground ON TOP of the black bracket that bolts to the alternator bracket, instead of under it :idiot: Don't be an idiot like me. I wasted over $100 on that first harness

Also, temp setting are hugely important. Set them too low and the fans will never shut off.

  5. First, I did the efan upgrade to my 03. Already had the 145a alternator. My buddy has HP Tuners, we set the temps for the fans, they work great (way louder than I expected them to be on high though). However, I've read a few times that after you start the truck, turn on the A/C one fan should turn on right away. But it doesn't. And I don't understand how to make it. I'm sure it's some setting in the tune but I can't find that info anywhere. Can anyone chime in or put up a screen shot of your settings?

Second, is there any direct replacement muffler that is worth a damn? I have some nice ARH long tubes but they go into the stock exhaust. They sound great when I'm getting on it, but they're too quiet when I'm idling. Down the road, turbos will dump out the sides, so I don't want to invest in a nice catback system. Just looking for a mugger that sounds tough and won't require too much screwing around to put in. Thanks

  6. So I upgraded from the clutch fan to a set of electric fans. These are dorman fans, both with 7 blades. I bought them brand new off amazon. I believe they're intended for 07 Tahoe, etc. They fit perfect, they plugged right into the harness I bought from ls1trucks.com. When they're in high, they're a bit loud. But I can deal with that. The problem is, the fans themselves must be drawing a ridiculous amount of amps. I had a 40A and a 30a but the thirty kept blowing. Easy fix, now they're both 40a. At first only the low 40a would blow every few days. But now the weather is getting warmer, they're both blowing every few days. Not just blowing, melting..

I emailed the owner of the ls1truck website who sold me the harness, which is actually really nice btw. All he could say was he can't control what fans anyone uses in aftermarket setups. Fair enough.

Is there any upgrade fan units that fit into the stock shrouds? I'm going broke buying fuses lol
