  1. All set on the bracket front. Purchased a set from a member. Bump for the factory style grill. Will most likely just end up ordering from ebay at this point.
  2. Oh are you not in Mass? Do you have any pictures of the whole assembly? All good. Life gets in the way sometimes.
  3. Already tried that. No luck so far. Not sure. Would $75 local pickup work?
  4. Looks good. Cree LEDs are the way to go. They are one of the best in the industry.
  5. Any help here guys? Does anyone make aftermarket ones?
  6. So I'm looking to purchase a factory 2003 SS grill upper and lower along with the SS bumper brackets. Also any pictures of where these brackets go exactly to the bumper would be great. (besides the diagrammatic ones) Looking for these particular GM part #s for the brackets: 89044507 FILLER LEFT 89044506 FILLER RIGHT 15182637 BUMPER COVER LOWER BRACKET RIGHT 15182636 BUMPER COVER LOWER BRACKET LEFT
  7. ^Couldn't agree more. CTS-V would be a fun ride.
  8. I've also seen this ad near CT as well. Hate these types of guys.
  9. Where did you get the rep rims from? Much better looking then the ones that were on there.
  10. As far as the timing, typically it's for every 50 shot you add retard the timing 1-2 degrees. I think this would be your biggest problem. Might have to take the approach of having to invest in a tuning system for yourself, so you could upload a nitrous tune or a non nitrous tune. Or you stick with the tune for a 100 shot all the time if that's not feasible. As far as activation, I got to ask if you are a track guy or more of a street guy. If you are going to the track quite often it but be worth a nice progressive controller. If it's more on the street I would think it's something you could live without. It's a great thing to have but not necessary IMO. Would be a personal preference thing. I had just a push button activation on a previous car for a street setup. Loved it at the time. I won't common on the other options of activation, as I'm still new to the truck so don't even know if it's a drive by wire setup.
  11. So I stopped this morning and took a quick peak at the SS for sale in town. From this diagram what I need seems to be #6 and #15. (left and right side). Can anyone provide the GM numbers. The site doesn't provide it (or at least I can't find them on it) It seems extremely high to pay almost $350 just for a few brackets. Found a entire bumper assembly for $350 at a local junkyard. So might have bought a bumper cover for nothing. Oh well, lesson learned. Time to do research before buying. http://www.gmpartsdirect.com/catalog/frameset.cfm
  12. So ordered and received my silverado ss bumper. Was unforentally surprised to find out that i'm clearly missing some brackets but don't now for sure which ones I need. I'v attached some pictures of the brackets that are there, any help especially some pictures of what I should have would be great.
  13. Lesson #1 about this truck learned. Don't assume anything. Order new bumper cover for the truck. Of course it wouldn't have any of the factory brackets. Wasn't a fan of the bumper that was on it, but I will give it credit was at least built fairly well.
  14. Very cool looking color. Kind of reminds me of the go mango ram Daytona color.
  15. I'm just looking for a stock height shock.
  16. It's very clear that my truck's shocks need to be replaced. Anyone have any luck with one brand over another? Typically I've used KYB in the past with good results. I'm just looking to get a factory ride. Not looking for anything to harsh.
  17. I will at least keep it in mind. Might not be ready for that, as I'm still waiting for some other projects to sell, before I go to crazy with the SS. Been up there before, sucks that it's one of the closest drags, yet still 3+ hours away for me.
  18. This is the best advice. I had HPT for my cobalt SS years ago. I can't tell you the amount of hours spent reading. I was also lucky enough to attend a seminar on tuning put on by Diablosport. Wasn't exactly the same but helped none the less. Be patient when getting to the fine tuning.
