  1. I have a Yank SC3000 stall converter that needs a good home. When doing my build on SSS last fall I had purchased this stall. After literally being in the truck less than 50 miles we decided to upgrade the tranny and went with a 3300 rpm stall as opposed to this stall because my mechanic suggested it and he has one at his shop. He was going to use this 3000 stall in another build he was doing but unfortunately he passed away suddenly this past winter and the stall has just been sitting on my shelf. Bought the stall for a little over a grand and looking to get $600 for it. Thanks a lot!
  2. Hey guys not having a bit of luck finding anyone here in central Illinois willing to look at this problem for me due to the truck having a supercharger. I live in central Illinois and was curious if anyone of you knew of any speed shops around the Chicago area or wherever reasonably close that would be willing to help me out? Don't wanna look like a pansy not doing this myself but I unfortunately do not feel comfortable enough to tackle it myself. Thanks in advance.
  3. Gotcha. Wondering if my local GM shop will want to work on it due to the supercharger. Have to look into that. Thanks again for all the info
  4. Ok sounds good. How long of a job you think it would be to do this? And do you think someone with a decent amount of mechanical knowledge would be able to do it themselves? I have never pulled a blower off of anything I will say that. Thanks again
  5. Ok great guys thanks for all this info. If I do end up having to replace them, any preferences on where to get them?
  6. I don't think it is but what would be your suggestion of where too look to see if it would be false knock?
  7. Ok that's what I assumed but really appreciate the response back
  8. Hey guys. Recently I threw a P0332 DTC on the SSS (knock sensor bank 2 low voltage) I do have a TVS1900 Maggie blower on the truck as well as fairly extensive list of other engine mods. I don't want to sound like a rookie when it comes to my build because I have been a large part of the entire thing but the one thing I wasn't a part of unfortunately is when my good buddy/shop owner installed the blower. Hardest part of this build was that my buddy passed away beginning of this year so I have a few questions that have gone unanswered. Long story short I am just curious if you guys know if in fact the knock sensors on my engine would most likely be stock or if they would be something different due to the addition of the blower? I'm guessing a knock sensor is probably a knock sensor but never hurts to ask the many people on this forum that know this situation like the back of their hands. Thanks a lot
  9. Hey guys think I finally got a photobucket account setup to show ya some pics. Need to get more on there but it's a start. One of the links should work: http://s1302.photobucket.com/user/BlackSS0410/media/IMG_0488_zpsd94f86bb.mp4.html?sort=3&o=3
  10. Hey guys wanted to say thanks again for all your input on my valve train noise post. Wanted to let you all know that unfortunately I got wrapped up in overtime at work for about a month and the truck had to sit neglected, yes killed me, but wanted to let ya know that my mechanic and I just got done tearing into that oil pump and sure as hell that O-Ring on the pickup tube was not only the wrong one but it had a slight tear in it. We replaced the o-ring and actually put a ported LS7 oil pump in the truck while we were that far into it and it fixed the problem 100%! Thanks again so much for your input. Time to go light these 4 tires up! Happy holidays to you all!
  11. Hey Sprayed99 thanks a ton for your input. You are 100% right we were wrong to just assume proper length of the pushrods. Unfortunately my mechanic had something unexpected come up this weekend so we were unable to look into the lifter. Although I know just enough to be dangerous about engine work I will be the first to admit I am no mechanic so this is a project I feel I could tear into myself but unfortunately thats about it. I will definitely get more details from my guy on the o-ring on the oil pump. Thanks for your comments on this. I will keep you all posted. Thanks
  12. The cam came as part of a kit from Atlantic Speed. It contained new lifters, timing chain, valve springs, retainers, valve locks, valve seals and pushrods so would have to think push rod length we would be fine on. Asked my mechanic about the O-Ring in the oil pump and he said no problems there. Definitely hear ya on the stainless headers amplifying these noises
  13. Doing some investigating on lifters tomorrow. If we have to pull heads I'm going to put new ones on. Any suggestions??
  14. Hey appreciate that man. We'll get it fixed. Nothing MORE money can't fix ha. How are you guys getting those pics of your trucks as your profile pics?
