  1. Has the battery died lately? You might just need an idle relearn
  2. Ok, so I have the XR275HR cam with LS6 yellow springs on L92 heads. I am installing 76mm@ 8lbs turbo(I know, not a good boost cam, but Im running with it). I just purchased the PRC 320s springs rated at .650 . When installing the springs, do I have to change anything as far as spring height? The LS6 spring height is 1.800 while the PRC are 1.810. These springs were recommended by another SS member. I see that the springs are rated 144lb @ 1.810 closed and I cant seem to find the LS6 spring specs. Any information is appreciated
  3. I went with PRC 320 Double Springs I thought I could tackle this job myself, but after reading about finding valve height, shimming, etc I might have a profession do it. Im a valve body guy, not heads lol. If it was as simple as a spring swap I could do it
  4. So, I finally decided to boost my truck. I am going to run it on my current cam,Comp Cams XR275HR .566/.568 Lift-222/224 Duration 112 LSA. Not the best cam for boost, but Comp Cam says it will work with my 76mm turbo, running a max of 12lbs of boost. My question is, I have GM LS6 yellow springs currently with max lift specs of .580 . Should I replace my springs with the double springs? If so, is it necessary to replace the keepers and spring retainers? If its not necessary, Id like to save the $450. Thanks for your input in advance

  12. Picture of my truck with new shoes
  13. Thanks for the info Josh! When I looked up the number I was coming up with Bosch and 3 different types. For a while I thought there was an injector issue but fixed the problem with a dry rotted hose.
  14. I've been trying to figure out what injectors are in this truck. I looked up the numbers and it comes up with 3 different options. Tried getting in touch with zippy since Hitch guy said it had his tune, but can never get in touch with zip
  15. Stoshball, tell Tom I said props on the great truck. For a while, the other guy was trying to take credit for Toms build. I figured he didn't have anything to do with the build based on his answers to my questions. I pm ' ed Tom, but I know he hasn't been active since 2012. I take great care with this truck. It will not see winter! BlueAWDSS: where you located?
  16. Found the previous owner! Member Profile: 1bad70monte Name: Tom He was last active Oct 2012. The guy who bought the truck from him found me on Facebook. His profile is: hitchc21 . I was asking questions about the type of injectors, what heads are on it, etc and he finally told me he didnt do anything to it. He sent me a link to what 1bad70monte did to it. http://www.silveradoss.com/forums/topic/76708-headscam-2004-arrival-blue-ss-in-michigan/?do=findComment&comment=854169 Here is a list of what I have: Modifications and New Parts: Engine/Exhaust/Cooling: Comp Cams XR275HR Camshaft-Specs .566/.568 Lift-222/224 Duration 112 LSA New GM L92 Cylinder Heads and Rocker Arms GM MLS Head Gaskets with New Head Bolts LS3 Sodium Filled One Piece Intake Valves GM LS6 Yellow Valve Springs High Volume Oil Pump Comp Cams One Piece Hardened Pushrods New GMPP Lifters New GMPP Timing Chain New L92 Truck Intake Manifold and New GM 90mm Throttle Body All other Engine Gaskets and Seals (GM) Casper Chrome Valve Cover Breather Volant Cold Air Intake AEM Bruteforce Ceramic Coated Long Tube Headers Catless Midpipes True Dual Pipes back to 2 Flowmaster 40 Series Mufflers with Side Exit in Front of Tire HPM 7000 CFM Electric Fan Kit (uses OEM PCM Control-Very Nice Fit) New AC Delco Water Pump SLP 160 F Thermostat MSD 8.5 Plug Wires and DEI Wire Covers NGK TR6 Spark Plugs New GM Oil Cooler Lines New Radiator Hoses New Primary 02 Sensors New Delco Remy 145 Amp Upgraded Alternator New Belt Tensioner, Both Belts and Idler Pulley Transmission: Finish Line Transmission L5+ 4L65E 5 Pinion Planetaries Billet Output Shaft Shift Kit and Reworked Valve Body Lots of other Goodies-Check their Web Site Circle D Specialties Billet Multidisk 3200-3400 RPM Stall Converter Truecool 40K GVW Transmission Cooler (dropped Trans Temp 40F!) 17. Just an update, I found a dry rotted hose, that I believe goes to the fuel pressure regulator. I also read a post talking about the Walbro 255 fuel pump that I have installed. They were talking about how the pump doesnt like anything less than a 1/4 tank. So far, knock on wood, my truck has been running flawless. Weird, but either the hose or pump was acting up causing my truck to studder/misfire. Any thoughts of what might have caused this? Shortly after my last post, I finally got a code which was an injector code. I cleared it, fixed the hose and havent let the truck lower than a 1/4 tank.
  18. Rob777, your truck started sputtering? I have the Walbro 255 pump and lately my truck has been doing the same thing. I am showing 60 psi on my Guage. Let me tell you, one huge headache over this. It's intermittent. Will work fine one minute, the next it's sputtering like I dropped a cylinder. I'm not getting any codes either
  19. Well, just got a P 200 injector code. Hooked it up to the tech 2 and ran a cyl injector test. Both 4 and 5 bank aren't working. Could this be a tuning issue? Like I somehow messed the tune up by removing the battery? Now I'm stuck as this is my dd. Did a light test and the computer is commanding the injectors
  20. I might be able to find d something. Through research, I found who's truck I have. Everything about my truck http://www.silveradoss.com/forums/topic/76708-headscam-2004-arrival-blue-ss-in-michigan/ I'm thinking it might be a sticky injector. I got the numbers off of it but it comes up with 3 different kinds of injectors. Apparently it has a zippy tune on it
