  1. Put a set of the Fortera Triple Treads on 04 SS and love them. Fantastic wet perfromance. Can't report on snow yet but they should be awesome. Con is they are a little pricey.
  2. F1Fan, I put a set of the Fortera Triple Tread on my 04 and love them so far. Very good on wet pavement as well as snow. Only have about 8000 miles so I cant comment on how good they are for mileage. These had the #1 rating on Tire Rack
  3. Finally set up. Installed Edelbrock IAS Performer shocks, Performance Friction pads, and Goodyear Fotera Triple Treads, 285/50/20. Truck rides and handles great. Thanks for the input. JF
  4. Will be installing new Performance Friction pads next week. I have 32,000 miles on my SS. Should I have rotors turned prior to install. Currently no surging while braking.
  5. I can't seem to win. Had difficulty with getting part number for Hawk Pads and ordered Performance Friction. Finally decided on Bilstein shocks, found the part number and placed order with Allshocks.com. Received email today form Allshocks stating the Bilsteins are on national Backoder till November. Any suggestions for good replacement shcks other than Bilsteins or where I can get them? 04 SS
  6. Thanks for the info. I got frustrated last night trying to find the correct Hawk pads for my application and ordered Performance Friction carbon metallic pads. Hope I am not sorry. If I am I will try the Hawk pads in the P/N you supplied. Thanks, JF
  7. I need to replace the pads on my 04 SS. Wanted to upgrade from OEM. Tried Hawk and struck out. Having great difficulty finding anyone that has pads listed for 04 SS. I called Hawk. and emailed TBRYNE. Response was there were 4 different rear pads depending on which model. What are you guys running for direct pad replacement. Also finally got the part numbers for Bilstein Shocks. Are these as good as it gets for our trucks? Thanks, Jim
  8. I got the letter. Stated do not bring your truck in if no problems were apparent. Added 1 year to existing warranty if the crap out in the future
