  1. I've been pretty much down for anything with this truck...It's refreshing to be able to actually work on some thing for a change...I have a BMW 550i MSport that i dont freaking touch and before that was a BMW 335i..I actually think it is the GMOS-04 Harness when i kill the truck and pull the Keys out of the ignition with the door still closed it always wakes up and plays better.

  2. Two things....Has anybody had there Bose amp go bad on them? I installed a Power Aucoustik double Din with a GMOS-04 and for some reason the damn thing while playing sounds like it drops a frequncy range for a bit then picks back up a few seconds later. It is only doing it on the high end and not effecting my Subs. Stereo guy here local told me that i might not be gettin a good enough ground. So i pulled it all apart again, wired in a chassis groung still not fixed. He said the amp could be going out and to ditch it and install a new 4-channell amp and re-run new wires???

Second while i had it out installed a ASWC-1 which was quite simply because the GMOS-04 already had the harness built in. Just had to snip a few extra wire. PTT works as a Mute, Sorce works fine except for the fact that it will on cycles in one direction, you have to go al the way through just to get back to where you were. Volume works okay but the seek buttons will not work with the radio, but will work with Blue tooth or CD...

  3. First off THANK GOD i have access to a lift. I have new found respect for guys doing there own maintenance in their garage on jacks. Since i just purchased my truck with 194,000 on the Od i thought it might be a good idea to go through all the fluids and change them out....

    1) Transmission,,,,holy hell just to drop the pan to get to the filter(AWD) had to drop the exhaust wasnt expecting that...

    2) Front Diff,,,,,Looked like black tar coming out. Drained and ran some extra through just to claen it out a bit more.

    3) Transfer case,,,,No problem there pretty straight forward and easy to deal with.

    4) Rear Diff,,,, Again holy hell black as midnight on a new moon...Clean up ever thing looked good.

    5) Replaced oil with some good ol mobil 1 10-30

Anyways i wouldnt of had the balls to atempt all of this if not for this site and all the research. So hats off to all of you who have been there and done that. Thanks for the other write ups on how to do things...

  4. Well the reset trick didnt work....I can hear the actuator wotrking on the drivers side but nothing on the passenger side.....Is it possible my big ole hands could of dislodged something when i was up under the dash? It was all tight but for the life of me cant remember anything being moved within reason.

Yup. It's the blend door actuator thing. Common problem... Mine did the same thing, passenger side blew hot. It's a pain in the ass to do...

There is a detailed write up on this floating around the internet... I'll c if I can find it for u.

    found it

I used this and was able to do it just fine... a little time consuming, but cheaper than paying someone

Thanks for the link i will look into it shortly.

  5. Has anybody ran across one side of your climate controls going bad? Coming back from lunch and my buddy asked why the heater was on, i laughed its not....Till i felt the hot air coming out of his vents. I just installed some radio equipment and had to run some wires up under the dash but didnt hit or remove anything.
