  1. Unfort it is still out there somewhere. No longer my truck if found the insurance owns the title. Used the settlement as a down payment on a 17 midnight edition w/ 6.2. Hell of a nice truck. Dont like the payment tho

Worst feeling, when there are chances of finding her.

I likely had mine recovered without knowing and bought by a fellow member on here. I took it for gone after a couple weeks, and picked up the next best thing to an SS, a Denali.

Good luck on your new truck.

  2. The way I see these trucks its all a matter of how much youre willing to pay.

They are becoming more and more rare, and for the mileage, it doesn't get better than that.

I paid a pretty penny for mine when I got it, and it was more than I was hoping for, but at the time, I wanted something completely stock, awd, under 100k miles, and as new as I could get it. Sure there were better cheaper deals, but it wasn't what I wanted exactly, and thus I had to pay up lol.

If you don't buy it, someone else will, and at this point its a matter of which you like best.

  3.

Thanks for the photos i didn't even realise the truck was that low, the photos from the insurance auction were taken from a different angle, looks like such an awesome truck and i cant wait to get it, im so sorry it as stolen from you i hope you buy yourself another one, having something stolen from you must suck im always worried about it even here in New Zealand, thats why i've installed cameras around my house since i have a few nice vehicles here. great to see you have taken good care of the truck pity the person that stole it didn't, never mind ill decide when it gets here what im going to do with the truck.

Yeah shes pretty damn low. Was originally a 4/5 drop, then did a 5/5, and last I had it I raised it up about an inch and a half.

This photoshoot was before her paintjob as well, you know how black can be, so I wanted like a fresh start and went and did all the exterior mods I wanted, including paint, wing, grills, lights. Only thing missing was the hood, but I couldn't find anyone willing to make me the hood I wanted.

Like I said, the week she was stolen, she was getting the blower installed, alongside headers, exhaust, stall, and cam. I tend to pile up parts and do it all at once. After they stole it I had a lot of stuff I had to get rid of.

Im just glad she wasn't turned into a clone, Im a big despiser of clones made from original SS parts lol.

  4. Yeah I spoke to him already, pretty straight up guy.

I was upset at first, but after speaking to mark im pleased knowing shes in good hands.

Im shocked to see her in such good condition, after a few weeks passed, I kinda gave up on the idea and figured she was in pieces. But its nice to see her just how I left her, except the rear end.

As far as the insurance goes, I had full coverage and was paid for the truck, but obviously nothing close to what I invested in her. To my understanding, the insurance is suppose to notify you when the vehicle is found, and the usually give the previous owner first dibs on buying her back, and this goes for total losses in case of accident, or stolen.

If I would've known, I would've definitely bought her back, knowing you bought her around the same time I bought my new pickup truck would've been interesting.

Mark, I know shes in good hands, and not in some thieves hands, if you have any questions Sir, give me a holler, I look forward to your build boss.

  5. Yo I need you to contact me asap! That black SS is my Silverado SS!! It was stolen 6 months ago! It is identical! And I need to know where it's at! Please I need to know.

If you're willing to sell I'll buy that truck for any price. Anyone that followed me on this site knows I did everything right to that truck. That thing was my pride and joy, that paint job wasn't even a month old.

  6. Sucks your truck got stolen. :(

Is the Whipple new or used? If used, any idea on what kind of miles are on it?

Is this an LS-engine kit that started out as a bolt-on, but you were taking it further with the intercooler setup, etc.? Or a collection of parts for a full custom setup?

    Richard

    Has about 15k miles.

It was a bolt on kit for any gen 3 LS, which I was gonna modify the snout to fit the intercooler piping.

I had a Vic JR. that I was gonna run with this as well.

  7. Ive got a 2.3L Whipple I was planning on putting on my SS, but had it stolen some months back.

Initially I wanted to run an air-to-air setup with some nitrous, had the entire intercooler setup and brackets made. So anyone whos got a crazy imagination can work some wonders with this thing.

I've got all the pulleys, J-tube, belts, and whippletronix.

Im asking 2,000 OBO to any Silverado SS owner. Im located in the Houston area, but id be willing to ship, if the buyer pays for shipping fees.

  8. Erick you got your truck stolen??

    Yes Sir.

Long story short, got it stolen from my job in downtown Houston.

The truck was so unique no one could miss it, coincidence is someone I knew was the last to see it.

Anyways, shes been gone for about three weeks, wouldn't be surprised to see the truck turned into a clone.

Good thing was when I had my truck painted a few months back, I had the claddings bolted to the truck and then smoothened out. So whenever these rats try to remove the claddings, chances are they'll end up tearing them.

Biggest reason why Im sour to the idea of a clone, because just to think someones SS was sacrificed or stolen just to be replicated into something lesser.

  9. I know the feeling. Having to deal with the ****ing insurance, I ended up just settling for 10k the insurance offered.

The truck was a theft recovery before, and then only had like 120k miles.

I didn't wanna mess with it and took my loss.

Its sad how as a truck owner we have to deal with bullshit because of incompetent pieces of shit.

  10. I agree, them pieces of shit will take it one way or another.

My advice would be removing the fuel pump fuse or multiple kill switches, even onstar.

Regardless, thieves steal trucks when they catch you slipping, but that's anything in life.

I say just enjoy it, and do whatever you can to PREVENT, but nothing is safe.

Im telling you from experience, my truck was stolen from my job in broad day light about three weeks ago.
