  1. Ouch! Something about these trucks and cold weather that makes me think they don't go together. Or maybe its just me.
  2. Idk how you are when it comes to this stuff but there are TONS of locals who sell HID kits. Ive gone to several flea markets and picked up HID kits for my vehicles and they've lasted a long time. On my truck i picked up a kit for 35 bucks with life time warranty, and had them installed within 20 minutes of buying them. To each their own, im sure if you dont wanna go "cheap" on some HID's, there are plenty locals who sell them.
  3. My bad. I couldn't figure out how to attach the images at first. Here you go boss!
  4. Im almost positive you wont have to change the corner lights, I think what makes them appear "amber" is the actual reflector itself. Id have to physically check though, someone correct me if im wrong. As for headlights, ive been seeing a lot of talk about LED lights. Id look into some that fit our trucks and go with that, they light up so much nicer and cleaner than HID's. Here are some pics: He has the chrome reps you were thinking of getting as well. Hes actually a local, and a fellow HPT.com member. Let me know if you can see the pics or not.
  5. Wow I learned something today! Cant wait to try this!
  6. No refund here.. sucks to pay taxes...
  7. That sounds badass, maybe we can set something up and roll out both trucks. I actually ordered my drop kit and wheels yesterday, to have my truck ready. My initial plan was to have my 240 running, hoping to be pushing upwards of 600whp.. but ive just been to busy. PM me if youre down for something.
  8. Am I the only one who likes C? Ive seen C on cars, and my god do they looks good.
  9. If youre ever trying to sell the truck let me know. Im local, and would love to turn it into a toy lol.
  10. Just in case youre considering any other options. Go with Silver SS 22's. That's what im going with next week, you wont be disappointed.
  11. Yeah id try to hustle him down a couple grand, Im sure hes gotta bite.
  12. What are you running at tx2k if you don't mind me asking?
  13. Cant wait till I drop my truck to be picture worthy. good looking trucks gentlemen.
  14. I guess it depends where youre from. Down here, many shops will do a legit weld in c notch for under 300 bucks.
  15. I get that, I just figured for that price youd be getting aluminum DS. But then again I wouldn't know, Ive built cars not a truck, and ive always used aluminum as the "higher" alternative.
  16. I was wondering the same thing? Why steel driveshafts? Arent the stock SS ones, aluminum?
  17. Not feeling the chrome, or the speedo. That RPM gauge looks good though
  18. Tons of knowledgeable ppl in Houston, home of the fastest trucks in the nation. Id look into D3PE, Powerfab, Chucks Lsx, or Flaco to name a few.
  19. I recently ran into a body many locally here in Houston who makes these wings. He doesn't use bracket but some alternative method of some adhesive like double tape/glue, which he provides warranty on. Ima try it out, beats drilling holes into my truck. I had that ebay wing on my previous truck and all it was, was a piece of metal bent, and drilled with holes. Eventually if I didn't constantly tighten down the screws. One of my side pieces fell off.
  20. I agree you pay whatever when its something you want, as far as you can afford it. I payed 12k for my 04, with 108k miles. It was more than I anticipated paying for a used vehicle, but I haven't looked back ever since, I love my truck
  21. What I did on my truck, since youre gonna replace the filter, is check if the fuel pump is working. I just removed the filter then put the key in the on position, I lost some fuel but at least it helped.
  22. Had the same issue on my previous truck, except it ended up being the crank sensor.
  23. Texas hands down. Lots of job opportunities, and most of all, a relatively cheap cost of living.
