    well I appreciate the input guys,im gonna take it to a local shop and have the guy pull a vaccum on it and see if it leaks,if not then have him charge it up to spec, I really would like to buy a pump and a set of gauges and do it myself! but just cant see spending that kind of money on something ill rarely use? oh well, ill let yall know what I find, thanks!

    Hey guys, just jumped in the truck and the a/c compressor isn't engaging, it has been working fine the past few months since I had a new compressor installed, but the last few days I noticed it's not getting as cold? My scanner is saying I've got 25 psi on the high side?I'm not sure of the o.e.m specs at the moment...I'm thinking I've got a leak and low pressure switch kicked in? Not sure where to post a/c problems? Let me know what yall think?..thanks guys!!

    I bought my ISS for 23k,5 years ago.. it was a Minnesota truck... I wanted a intimidator so bad ,so I jumped on it! !! It had 84k on it! And yes the underside had rust bust ,a little time cleaning and painting every weekend for 2 months,made it look like new!

    ,it depends on how much u love these trucks... if ur a fanatic like me, then a little elbow grease ain't no big deal to get it shined up like new!!! We gotta take care of these trucks!!! Whether it a ISS or SSS,.. they are very important trucks!!! Wait about 30 years when the kids are lookin at us saying HOLY S**T! YOU HAVE A SS!

  19. stock bose, no bass???

    06 silverado ss, bought it awhile back.,but never figured out the radio problem... it works but is not loud? And no bass? Steering controls don't work and it dosnt keep time... I pulled the center console up and saw that a wiring harnesse to the amp is spliced and taped up .. so the previous owner did same shady s**t!! I ll post pictures if need ,,,please help!, I want it to sound like it came from the factory... thanks for any help... much appreciated! !!

  20. Loose Headlights ???

    so ,just installed new lights from rockauto and they dont fit real snug like the stock ones did..., i can tell they are loose while driving at night ,they flicker up and down with bumps in the road.... i was thinking maybe if i bought new headlight mounts,this would solve the problem... ???? anybody got some info??

  24. Steering Shimmy,need help!

    truck vibrates hard from side to side at about 60-75 without brakes applied, feel it bad in the steering wheel... changed shocks.,had tires rotated and balanced, bakes are good ,, i have no idea what it could be.... ????? truck is 2wd and has 95,000 miles,, can anybody give me some info or a good place to start? ive heard of idler and pitman arms,or steering box?? please help, greatly appreciated
