I considered this with my truck, but decided to order whole new switches and I'll agree the bottom ones were the worst to replace the cords were really short though with some patience and care I got them reconnected.

Sucks to hear of your loss bro, I've had one of mine stolen about a year and half ago and went though the same BS they always try to lowball you. Check your appraisal report (if you've received one) and make sure that the title says "SS" after the VIN. I say that because my insurance went through a third party appraiser (CCC1) or something like that, and they had LS after my trucks VIN and were really out to lowball me. But after two months of fighting with them over it they finally contacted (CCC1) and had the appraisal report redone with the proper submodel in the title and I got what my SS was worth, but it was an ISS so that made a bit more of a difference.... maybe.

NICE!

You can see the "smoky" look overall, as well as the peeled clearcoat spot in front of the high beam -
Totally fogged-up park lens that the chrome immediately flaked, that's all the sparklies down in the corner -
Oh well. The whole set was like $85 shipped, get what you pay for, and sometimes less!
Richard
how did you get the LED blinkers to work? I've heard they give hyper flash issues, I'm trying to research this so when I decide to go this route on my SS I don't have double fast blink.

my old man put 380,000 miles on his 1966 Pontiac. Heads never off the block not even a cam change. Ex Airforce mechanic. He was original owner.
Kept records of everything gas mileage & gallons used. Tire rotation dates and miles on snow tires, brake shoe, hoses, plug & points replacements........He had more $ in oil & filters than purchase price of the car. Wreck took it off the road 10 years ago or he'd still be driving it.
It's all about the maintenance, he changed oil & filter every 2500 miles.
lol damn thing must have been a tank!

nice, mine will be here in a couple of weeks, looking forward to putting them on.
-
that's awesome! did you order your ARH headers?
-
damn dude, I know how you feel right now, hope it gets recovered.

OP (dj9c1) bought the truck from Virginia and had it shipped to Florida. Fixed it up a little bit and apparently sold it along to a guy in Atlanta - SSsz28, who has discovered it's a little bit of a misrepresented, possibly stinking pile.
Don't feel bad; it took me a minute to process the situation, too.
Sucks but just kinda one of those things that happens when you buy used vehicles, especially if they're in "project" status. At least you didn't spend a fortune on one that was supposed to be nice and find all kinds of shoddy work in it. I sure as hell did that with a '56 Chevy 210 2-door wagon that was goddam junk, and the guy was too far away for me to go burn his house down so I took my losses on it and sold it in a far-better described (ACTUALLY HONEST) condition.

They appear to be a direct bolt on, but I haven't received mine yet so... maybe someone here has? Also the pro shop I go to claims I'll need a tune once my headers are installed not sure how true that is...

Welcome to the site.
Have you checked the driver side door seal?
-
Yea, I just ordered a set of headers and mid pipes a couple weeks ago. Called ARH directly and the best price they could give was exactly what they listed on their website. I ended up ordering from Texas Speed for a little better price ($1400 or so). Despite not having them on the shelf, the delivery was pretty quick. I had them in less than two weeks.
Agreed, Texas Speed is where I plan on purchasing a set of ARH headers soon also.

one of a kind, lol

welcome, and enjoy!

Yep, that's them. I just hope they're be willing to ship them down to Texas.

Welcome to the site! and don't forget to add some anti- theft devices anything to slow them down.
Sadly I had car alarm on it, they just tore right threw it. But I'm hoping to do something more on the other a kill switch probably, just have to figure out how I want to install it.
K&N to Volant CAI swap
in Bolt On Performance

I have the Volant CAI, with the ram scoop & the oiled filter. Honestly I didn't like the power core filter but that is my preference, but I do like the how the CAI looks good in the engine bay and installation was easy. Just be careful with the gaskets they can be flimsy.
