got the full coverage handled but the garage part will be awhile... got a 83 c10 ive been working on. so the ss will have to sit in the driveway until its finished. not too worried about folks around here messing with it but will be more careful in the bigger cities that's for sure....

Went and picked up the truck from Oklahoma today and stopped to eat in Dallas on the way home. Got to the house to wash the truck up and noticed that the passenger rear vent window had a crease and pry marks where someone tried to pop it open with a phillips head.. Only owned it for 2 hours before this happened. Wonderful start to my first SSs.... FML. Sad thing was it was 2:30 in broad daylight.

there was in Atlanta texas on craigslist that I saw. has cloth interior and no console though.... 14x,xxx miles.. also, one in Joplin, Missouri with 179,000 2wd with really clean interior....

more than likely compressor. 4.8,5.3 and 6.0 trucks are prone to liquid slugging caused by compressor placement (oil has to be pushed upstream). usually is accompanied by a "rattle" under acceleration... hope you get it figured out.

Really depends on the quality of the truck... I'm not afraid to drive lol. I've checked in almost every nearby city on craigslist and the ones I like were 20k+. just can't spend that on a 12 year old truck with 100,000 miles...

Hey folks, new guy from east Texas. Been looking at getting my first SSs for about 7 months and seems all the onea I look at are salvage titles. Anyways, I'll be a lurker till I finally get my hands on one. Been around lsx vehicles since I was about 16 (27 now). had a hand in building a couple of pretty quick street cars at the shop I used to work at. Anyways, looking forward to being on the forum
