  1. Stock trans will die. There arent very good behind these big ole 6.0s. Would probably pump Tranny line pressure to get the shifts you want. Adding a vette servo aswell as a Transgo HD2 Shift kit to mine made it 100% better! (Just dont add any gold rings or flip the servo)

As far as AFR thats weird. I would see if you can call a rep. tuner who can answer it 100% for you. Never ran into that issue but when it was my truck with just longtubes and intake i was a 12.5AFR

    or close to that.

  2. I would just get pieces from the hardware store or do what i did and use the supplies pieces in the kit. I used all from the kit (took my time and did it right a professional.) Save the 75 bucks. Im pulling my grille off soon so i will take pics on how i mounted mine. Even has the front air temp. Sensor righr there like factory too!

  3. Speed engineering makes a good set of turbo manifolds.

Everything from the 4.8, 5.3, 6.0 can be swapped. Except the pistons and crank and rods(maybe wrong with the last 2) cannot be swapped from 4.8/5.3 to 6.0. 4.8 and 5.3 are the same blocks and crank. The 4.8 is a destroked 5.3 and had flat top pistons.

If i was going to Force induction it, i would go with a 5.3 and keep the domed pistons, or go to a 6.0 and do a set of ported 243s and keep the compreeson to a 9.5.1.

  4. I just got the Y pipe and a custom exhaust behind it.

Something else to note is its easier and a quick bolt on, speed engineering makes a full exhausy system from header collector back, its a true dual 3 in with an x pipe. So no need to buy a muffler or even the y pipe. My buddys got one and sounds good, but if not do a borla XR-1 round case. Bot to loud at idle, but opened up it screams.

  5. I havent installed those personally, but what i have been told is to always check your pushrod lenth check and run it for a heat cycle, let it cool and recheck clenrence after.

Why not just get the comp cams rocker upgrade? Truion upgrades are good. My buddy for a .21 1/4 mile time with just thw truion upgrades.

  6. Get a custom tune to turn your 02s to always passed. Im in az and got a set of TSP headers and for a year and a half now they are holding up great! (Been super wet last 7 months)

Besides sound, itll feel sluggish below 2500 to about 3500; depeinding on what size. Wont have to tune for headers but to get the make out of them its best to get it tuned. Dont worry about the expesinve headers, our trucks love open air flow so any will work. Tsp is good, so is speed engineering.

  7. Stage 4 224/230 .553/.547 111+2

    Stage 3 is 218/224 .553/.553 113+3

Just trying to get big gains grom just doing cam on a high milleage engine without revving out to 6700 rpm. Was considering a tsp 220r cam hut with .600 lift it carries itll be a top end cam. Just looking for a good midrange cam that has good torque for our heavy trucks and still decent gains on the top end.
