  1. I have a 8.8 10 GM Diff, stock axles. I blew the locker up twice, so last time i put a new diff housing with axles and put in a Auburn locker. Supposedly what i hear that its the same locker Camaros and Corvettes use. Its no longer Limited slip. Well im coming into the diff service. (broke it in) Im looking to get Royal Purple 75w-140 or another great fluid, with BG LS2 Fluid additive. Im wondering if i should get a diff cover than the ugly stock cover. I dont see many choices with the realm of GM Performance i cannot find. Im wondering if maybe the same diff cover used in a corvette or camaro would fit on mine?

Any suggestions on fluid, additive. diff cover or anything would help. First time with a performance locker..

  2. I have an 01 Silverado, 2wd with 2 inch level shackles to lower it in the rear, with the stock 16in... Ewww, I have a new set of GM Factory Silverado SS wheels that im using, but i dont know what size tire will look good with not to much rim, or too much rubber, and will ride nice and perform good. Somone told me to do a 285/50/20 which will be close to my tire now which is 255/75/16 and look good. But im not sure. Any advice on the type of tire and size to look good with? Pics are the actual truck

  3. The stock heads that are on there, if you fully port and polish them, they will do great! Those 243 heads, you fully port and polish them, they will out flow your motor. GM does a really great job with making power because of the flow. Even stock. I'd go with getting heads on your truck re done and while you are in there get your cam swapped out for a boosted cam that fits your needs and your truck needs. then get it dyno tuned.

  4. I live in AZ so we get barely cold mornings. Like today the low was 40 outside and the high is 77. Is it to cold for my tru cool? My tranny got to 120f barely today to work, so can i hurt it? I let it run for about 10 min before i drive it so i should be good. i dont know 100% if its okay though. Any ideas of suggestions?

  5. I just recently put my Tru-Cool 40k on my truck, and its getting cold outside. i live in AZ so i see a handfull of days where its below 32 degrees ever. But it heats up during the day. I driv to work about 20 min-1 hour depeneding on where im at. My question is that is it to cold to have it on? Driving to work it only got up to 120 barely. Can i hurt something? Im letting it run for 10min before i drive it so hopefully its good!

  6. I need electric fans. Last summer in AZ, the fan clutch was on Allmost all the time. Felt so damn slow. I wanna get the factory fans and get the harness, but GM makes the fan harness into the headlight harness too. **** that 399 My cost. Anyone has any options get get another harness and maybe someone who can tune them into my PCM? Can i get the PCM tuned and run a fan clutch until i get the electric fans in. Its my DD

  7. I love my black widow exhaust. It's calm when driving nice and super aggressive when hard on it. My buddy has an corsa exhaust and he's super jealous he spent the money on that but mine came out so nice.

2 1/2 will be more than enough and my experience is the last guy I did a 3 in dual was super loud and annoying loud though. He had to pay to change it to 2 1/2

  8. Thanks everyone for your thoughts! I would have replied sooner but I didn't get any notifications to anyone who responded! Any who, I might have to go with pacesetter because of it being cheap. And then hopefully save some coin and go for the cam swap. Just kinda picky with everything I do with it.
