Has anyone drilled the factory front dampers as per Mr. P's write up?

So what's the procedure for drilling the front dampers? Mr. P's old article was informative but the pics are no longer available. Drilling the first nub? First being mounting end or end contacting LCA? Sorry for the Hijack!
