  1. Since I have no experience with these trucks can anyone tell me if this looks oem. There is not a low brake fluid sensor on the master cylinder and no electrical connector for it any where I can see. The truck was a one owner when it was bought by my father in law and I was thinking the original owner might have removed it. The dealer told me that the vin number says it has a sensor. As you can see in the pic there is a place for the sensor.
  2. I love to smoke too. I use a Masterbuilt electric smoker, smoked with wood and charcoal in the past, but find the electric smoker a time saver. Here is a dry rub recipe I use at the bottom of the post. Thats some good looking grub Blk_SS 1/4 cup Paprika 1/8 cup Fresh Ground Black Pepper 1-2 tablespoons Garlic Powder 1-2 tablespoons Onion Powder 1/4 cup Coarse Salt 1/4 cup Turbinado Sugar This will coat up to 6 lbs. Pork Ribs and 10 lbs. Pork Shoulder or Pork Roast.
  3. Thanks for your help. I will try to do that this weekend and post the results.
  4. My son just inherited his grandfathers SS truck its a 2004 with low miles. My son and I are here looking for some help with a brake problem. We replaced the rear pads , rotors, calipers, mounting brackets and all three rubber flex lines. The rear rotors are still heating up even after adjusting the e-brake to the point it does not work. I don't know if this is part of the problem but the brake light glows so dim you can only see it at night, but the real kicker is it glows with the truck turned off and no key in the ignition. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  5. My Father-in-law was killed in an accident in 2010 and this was his truck. It is a 2004 with about 45000 miles. My mother-in-law just gave it to my son who is 16 for his birthday. I think he is lucky. The truck has a few bugs from sitting but we will work them out in time. At least I get to test drive it after we work on it.
