  1. I've had a Pace Edwards on my 03 since brand new. Never any problems and still looks good.

I had the solid fiberglass cover on my 90 SS and really didn't care for it because I had to come home and remove it to haul some things. It looked great though.

Thanks for the link, I've considered one of these but I won't really be using my truck to haul much so fiberglass won't be much of an issue for me. I really like the gaylords speedsturr cover, I think it fits the style of the SS perfect......its just the price isn't perfect so I'll prob wait a while.

  2. What would be reasonable expectations to have from getting a tune from black bear on a mostly stock SS, only has exhaust and intake. I have one of my 08 Z71 and other than changing the shift points I'm not sure it was worth the money I paid for it. I know the SS is capable of more which is why I'm considering doing it when they come to new orleans in April. Also, I would likely purchase the Autocal since I plan on doing some engine mods later down the road. Thanks for any info in advance

  3. GLWS! I remember seeing one for sale in Indiana, she only had 18k and change, was very interested but couldn't convince myself to buy her at $22k. :/ Yours should sell very close to your price being that you're the original owner after all these years!

I bit the bullet and did the same last month, picked up a 1 owner garage kept 04' with 29k miles. Mostly stock other than intake, exhaust and bedcover and paid 21k for it. Didn't have a single scratch or blemish on it.
  4. I installed today the Pioneer AVH4200 NEX works great with my android phone. Had to use a PAC adapter to tie it in with the factory bose stuff and a Sosche double din kit.

I was going to go with the avic4200 nex but from what I have read the maps aren't stored on the unit, there's something else you have to buy to view them all so I think I'm gonna end up going with the avic8200 nex. Do you have a part number or model number for the pac adapter you used?

  5. My number one remote doesn't work good. They no longer make the 1 and 2 version but rather one that is just blank on the back. My plan was to buy a new one from Rock auto ( they have the ac delco /oe one) and stuff the guts in my old #1 fob.

I was considering doing the same thing, or just replace both original ones with 2 new ones. Just wanted to see if anyone else had done so already and if the 2 memory settings in the truck were able to be saved with the newer remotes

  6. I don't think the mileage is that high but I traded my first one in when it had 100k on it. I have a tendency to get rid of any vehicle I have once they hit the century mark even though I take extremely good care of all of my vehicles. I understand the getting bored thing, it happens to me too and those single cabs are really nice and look awesome when customized. I actually almost went that route but just didn't fit my family dynamic at the moment

  7. My #1 keypad isn't working anymore, I was looking at ordering 2 new ones just to be able to have both new. Has anyone done this and programmed the keypads themselves? Sounds pretty simple from what I've read but will the 2 keypads still function as 2 separate ones as far as having them set for driver 1 and driver 2?
